    Abstract: This application provides a wake up signal sending method and a device. One example method includes: receiving, from a core network device, an identifier of first category to which a terminal device belongs, wherein different categories correspond to different service features; receiving a configuration of a wake up signal from a network device; determining, based on the wake up signal and the first category, weather the terminal device is woken up.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method and an apparatus, and relate to the communications field, to reduce power consumption and a delay for sending uplink data by a terminal device. The method includes: A terminal device receives a first resource configuration from a network device, where the first resource configuration is used to indicate a first resource, and the first resource is used by the terminal device to send data when the terminal device is in an idle mode; and when the terminal device is in the idle mode and has to-be-sent first uplink data, the terminal device sends the first uplink data to the network device on the first resource. The embodiments of this application are used in an Internet of Things communications system.

    Abstract: A multicast bearer management method includes: in a process of receiving service data of a single cell-multimedia broadcast multicast service traffic channel SC-MTCH, suspending a single cell-multimedia broadcast multicast service point to multipoint radio bearer SC-MRB corresponding to the SC-MTCH when there is a first type of data to be received; and when reception of the first type of data is completed, restoring or releasing the SC-MRB based on a temporary mobile group identity TMGI and/or a session identity corresponding to the SC-MRB. The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention can prevent frequent release and establishment of SC-MRBs, thereby saving network resources and power of a terminal device.

    Abstract: Example communication methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes receiving a first parameter by a terminal device from a first device, where the first parameter corresponds to first wake-up signal (WUS) configuration information in at least one piece of WUS configuration information, and the first WUS configuration information includes information about a first WUS time-frequency resource. The terminal device determines the first WUS time-frequency resource based on the first parameter, and receives a first WUS from a second device on the first WUS time-frequency resource, where the first WUS is used to wake up the terminal device. In this method, the terminal device can determine the first WUS time-frequency resource based on the first parameter received from the first device, and then receive the first WUS from the second device on the first WUS time-frequency resource.
