Abstract: A method for collecting bit error information is provided. According to the method, a head node may encapsulate indication information into an IPv6 extension header of an IPv6 measurement request packet. The indication information indicates at least one intermediate node on a transmission path of the IPv6 measurement request packet to record bit error information into the IPv6 extension header. According to the application, the bit error information of the intermediate node on the transmission path can be collected.

Abstract: A protection switching method provides a manner of transferring a protection switching message on an SRv6 data plane. In this manner, a first node can switch, after a fault occurs on an end-to-end transmission path of forward service traffic of the first node, a transmission path of the forward service traffic of the first node to another end-to-end transmission path, and send the forward service traffic through the transmission path after switching. In this manner, the first node only needs to store information about the another transmission path, and an intermediate node does not need to maintain a large amount of path state information and path configuration information.

Abstract: A packet processing method includes carrying an associated channel in an IPv6 packet to provide different types of control channels. Abstract: A data flow migration method and device are disclosed. When migration between a source virtual machine and a target virtual machine is started, determining a silent time used for processing data flow migration; and receiving, within the silent time, a data flow packet sent by a switching node; and sending the data flow packet to the target virtual machine according to the data flow packet and a data flow migration policy. In this way, the silent time is used, a newly arrived data flow is redirected, and the newly arrived data flow is directly sent to the target virtual machine according to the data flow migration policy, which avoids migration of the newly arrived data flow. Abstract: A communication method comprises that if a policy control device does not support setup of an Internet Protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) default bearer during setup of an IMS default bearer for a terminal, the control plane gateway sends second indication information to a user plane gateway, where the second indication information indicates the control plane gateway bypasses the policy control device. When the user plane gateway receives an IMS session request from the terminal and determines that the control plane gateway bypasses the policy control device, the user plane gateway sends first indication information to the control plane gateway, and the first indication information indicates the control plane gateway to send, to the policy control device, a first request to request to establish a mapping relationship between the terminal and the control plane gateway such that an IMS session can be set up between terminals.
