Abstract: A mode switching method in a WI-FI network includes after a terminal device accesses a WI-FI network, the terminal device communicates, in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) mode, with an access point that provides an access service of the WI-FI network. The terminal device obtains first received signal strength and a first throughput of the WI-FI network in the MIMO mode, and when the first received signal strength is greater than a first strength threshold and the first throughput is less than a first throughput threshold, the terminal device switches from the MIMO mode to the single-input single-output (SISO) mode.

Abstract: A wireless communication system includes a first terminal and a routing device. The routing device is configured to perform channel availability check (CAC) before performing communication on a 5 gigahertz (GHz) channel of a first frequency bandwidth, and broadcast a beacon frame on the 5 GHz channel of the first frequency bandwidth when the routing device does not detect a radar signal. The routing device is configured to operate on the 5 GHz channel of the first frequency bandwidth, and the first frequency bandwidth includes a dynamic frequency selection DFS channel. The first terminal is configured to perform communication on the 5 GHz channel of the first frequency bandwidth when the first terminal is configured to operate on the 5 GHz channel of the first frequency bandwidth and receives the beacon frame on the DFS channel.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide an information obtaining method and a terminal device. The method is applicable to a device having a wireless fidelity Wi-Fi function.
