Abstract: This application provides example communication methods and apparatuses. One example method includes performing, by a network device on a preconfigured resource, data demodulation on uplink data from a terminal device. The network device can then send downlink control information (DCI) to the terminal device, where the DCI includes first indication information, and if the uplink data fails to be demodulated, or it is determined, based on a result of the data demodulation, that the terminal device needs to retransmit the uplink data, the first indication information indicates either the terminal device to initiate random access or EDT and retransmit the uplink data or that the uplink data fails to be demodulated.

Abstract: Example communication methods and apparatus are described. In one example method, a first cell includes a plurality of terminal devices that can transmit uplink data on a same uplink time-frequency resource. A first terminal device in the plurality of terminal devices determines a reference time domain location based on a preconfigured uplink time-frequency resource, where the reference time domain location is the same as a reference time domain location determined by another terminal device in the plurality of terminal devices. The first terminal device determines a time domain location that is (first duration×N H+second duration×(N−1)) away from the reference time domain location as a start time domain location of X gaps. The first terminal device further determines a time domain location that is (first duration×(M−1)+second duration x (M−1)) away from the reference time domain location as a start time domain location of Y first durations, where Y=X or Y=X+1. Uplink data is sent by the first terminal device to a network device on a first time-frequency resource used to transmit uplink data.

Abstract: An information sending method and an apparatus are provided. In the method, after sending a first message including uplink data to a network device, a terminal device receives first DCI from the network device, where the first DCI may include first indication information, and the first indication information is used to indicate that the network device has successfully demodulated the first message or used to indicate the terminal device to flush a HARQ buffer corresponding to the first message; and the terminal device may obtain the first indication information from the first DCI, and after obtaining the first indication information, the terminal device determines not to monitor a PDCCH search space within first duration after the first DCI. After sending the uplink data and receiving the first indication information from the network device, the terminal device may not monitor the PDCCH search space within specific duration.

Abstract: This application provides a method for waking up a terminal, a terminal, and a network device. In technical solutions provided in this application, a network device determines, from a plurality of wake-up signals that can wake up a to-be-woken-up terminal and that need to be monitored by the to-be-woken-up terminal for one PO, a target wake-up signal of the to-be-woken-up terminal, and sends the target wake-up signal to the to-be-woken-up terminal. If the terminal detects, for the one PO, at least one wake-up signal of the plurality of wake-up signals that can wake up the terminal and that need to be monitored by the terminal, the terminal monitors a downlink control channel at the PO.
