Abstract: A method includes receiving first information from a terminal device on a first carrier, and sending second information to the terminal device. The first information is useable for determining channel information on the first carrier. The channel information on the first carrier includes a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) on the first carrier or a spectrum efficiency on the first carrier. The second information is useable for scheduling a transmission resource on a second carrier. The second information is useable to indicate channel information on the second carrier. The channel information on the second carrier includes at least one of an MCS on the second carrier or a spectrum efficiency on the second carrier. The channel information on the second carrier is determined based on the channel information on the first carrier.

Abstract: This application provides a hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ codebook generation method and an apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device receives a first message from a network device, where the first message is for scheduling downlink data in a plurality of cells. The terminal device generates a HARQ codebook based on the first message. This application provides the HARQ codebook generation method for a case in which there are a plurality of scheduled cells. According to the foregoing method, transmission performance can be effectively ensured. For example, a transmission opportunity can be effectively increased, or a transmission error caused by poor channel quality can be effectively avoided, so that a flexible and variable service volume and/or communication requirement can be met.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a multi-carrier scheduling method. A network device configures first DCI for scheduling a plurality of carriers, to reduce PDCCH resource overheads. In addition, when the network device configures the first DCI and other DCI (for example, second DCI), monitoring bit lengths of the two pieces of DCI are aligned, to obtain a monitoring bit length for blind detection. This can reduce blind detection complexity of blind detection performed by a terminal device on DCI, and improve system transmission performance.

The first BWP is the common BWP or a first dedicated BWP. A frame structure numerology of the first dedicated BWP is the same as the frame structure numerology of the common BWP. Bandwidth of the first dedicated BWP includes bandwidth of the common BWP.

Abstract: A signal transmission method and an apparatus are provided.
