The method includes: determining a change rate of a Doppler frequency shift value based on a weighted change rate of a change rate of a timing advance TA, determining the Doppler frequency shift value based on the change rate of the Doppler frequency shift value, and performing frequency compensation based on the determined Doppler frequency shift value; or determining a frequency offset value based on the Doppler frequency shift value with reference to pre-compensation and based on a reference signal, to further determine a frequency offset value, and performing frequency compensation based on the frequency offset value.

    Abstract: Example methods and apparatus for determining a timing advance are described. One example method includes obtaining ephemeris information of a satellite, where the ephemeris information includes coordinates of the satellite and an ephemeris error of the satellite. A timing advance is determined according to a preset rule based on the ephemeris information and location information of a terminal device, where the location information includes coordinates of the terminal device and a positioning error of the terminal device. The preset rule is determined by using a first horizontal distance, a first vertical distance, the ephemeris error, and the positioning error.

    Abstract: A method and device are provided for encoding a master information block (MIB), where the MIB includes indication information, the indication information is used by a terminal device to determine a decoding mode for decoding first information, and the first information includes at least one of a system information block (SIB) 1 and system information (SI); and sending an encoded MIB to the terminal device. The terminal device can determine a correct decoding mode for the SIB and the SI according to the indication information before receiving the SIB and the SI, and then the terminal device can decode the SIB and the SI in the correct decoding mode after receiving the SIB and the SI.
