Abstract: An actuation system for at least one hydraulically actuatable device, e.g., a vehicle brake, may include an actuation device, e.g., a brake pedal, at least one first pressure source that can be actuated using the actuation device, and a second pressure source having a pressure-generating arrangement that is moveable in two directions, and which includes an electro-mechanical drive for the pressure-generating arrangement. Each pressure source is connected via at least one hydraulic line to the hydraulically actuatable device for supplying pressurizing medium. A valve device may regulate pressure of the hydraulically actuatable device. Pressurizing medium can be supplied in a controlled manner in both movement directions of the pressure-generating arrangement. Provision is made for two working chambers of the second pressure source to be connected by a hydraulic line, and a valve device may be arranged in the hydraulic line.

Abstract: A braking system for a vehicle may include a hydraulic brake pedal system having a master cylinder having at least one pressure chamber, from which a hydraulic output is coupled to at least one brake circuit via an infeed switch valve. The master cylinder is coupled to a reservoir via at least one opening via a hydraulic connection. A failure of a pressure chamber seal of the at least one pressure chamber of the master cylinder is safeguarded by at least one redundancy, and the failure of the pressure chamber seal or the redundancy of the pressure chamber seal of the at least one pressure chamber of the master cylinder can be diagnosed.

Abstract: Apparatus for generating braking force in a vehicle brake system has at least two pressure supply devices and first and second hydraulic brake circuits, each having at least one or two hydraulic wheel brakes. Pressure in at least one brake circuit can be both built up and released by the pressure supply devices, which include a piston pump or gear pump driven by an electric motor drive and deliver continuous volume. At least one valve arrangement may adjust wheel brake pressures individually and/or disconnect/connect the wheel brakes from/to a brake circuit and/or a pressure supply device. At least one electronic control unit enables open-loop and closed-loop control. Pressure increase is enabled in one or both brake circuits, independently or in combination, using first and/or second pressure supply devices that produce changes in pressure simultaneously or temporally offset or overlapping.

Abstract: A brake system may include: two hydraulic brake circuits, each having at least one wheel brake; a first pressure supply device for pressure build-up and release in at least one brake circuit via forward and return travel of a piston; a second pressure supply device with a continuous delivery, electromotively-driven piston pump, gear pump, or eccentric piston pump; at least one valve assembly with valves for adjusting pressure for each wheel brake and/or for connecting/disconnecting the wheel brakes and at least one of the pressure supply devices; at least one electronic control unit; a connection line connecting the two brake circuits; and at least one outlet valve for pressure release. The wheel brakes are paired with dedicated switch valves. Each brake circuit has a hydraulic main line to connect the switch valves to the first and second pressure supply devices, which provide different maximum pressures and/or delivery volumes.

Abstract: An actuation device for a hydraulically operating brake system may include: a master cylinder in a housing and having at least one piston, to which a force can be applied by, e.g., a brake pedal; pressure supply device(s), at least one of which is a piston pump or double stroke piston pump having a piston and driven by an electromotive drive, the drive moving the piston directly or via a step-up gear; at least one valve assembly with magnetic valves; and at least one electronic control and regulating unit. The brake system has at least two hydraulic circuits, and a pressure change can be carried out in at least one wheel brake via the pressure supply device(s). A first housing or module, hydraulically connected to the housing, may contain the valve assembly and the at least one piston and pressure chamber of at least one of the pressure supply devices.
