Abstract: Power systems and methods of controlling an engine driven air compressor include an air compressor driven by an engine via a clutch. A first pressure sensor configured to sense a pressure level at an outlet of the air compressor. An inlet valve configured to close in response to the first pressure sensor sensing a pressure level above a first pressure level. In addition, a second pressure sensor to sense a pressure level below a second pressure level at a housing of the air compressor, wherein the clutch is configured to disengage in response to the second pressure level, wherein the first pressure level is higher than the second pressure level.

Abstract: Disclosed power systems include an engine configured to output mechanical power via a shaft and a generator coupled to the shaft. The generator includes a rotor assembly and a stator assembly. The rotor assembly includes a rotor winding, a rotor core coupled to the shaft and mechanically supporting the rotor windings with respect to the shaft, an insulating shell between the rotor core and the rotor winding, and a plurality of fan blades extending from an axial end face of the rotor core. The fan blades are configured to generate an airflow proximate the rotor assembly while the rotor assembly is being rotated by the shaft.

Abstract: Described is a generator for an engine-driven power system. The generator having a generator shaft, a sleeve coupler, a first pulley, and a second pulley. The generator shaft, which is shaped at an end to define a first tapered surface, rotates a rotor relative to a stator. The sleeve coupler is shaped to define a bore with a second tapered surface. The bore receives the end of the generator shaft. The first pulley has a center hole to receive the sleeve coupler. The second pulley shares an axis of rotation with the first pulley and transfers a rotational force to the generator shaft and to the sleeve coupler.

Abstract: Power systems and enclosures having a configurable cooling air flow are disclosed. The power system includes an enclosure; an air inlet location, a first air outlet location, a second air outlet location, a fan assembly, and one or more relocatable covers to obstruct the first and second air outlet locations. The air inlet location may be at a first location on an exterior of the enclosure to permit intake of air from the exterior of the enclosure to an interior of the enclosure. The first air outlet location may be at a second location on the exterior of the enclosure to expel air taken in through the air inlet location, while the second air outlet location at a third location on the exterior of the enclosure to expel air taken in through the air inlet location.
