Abstract: A multipurpose pollution reducing-device is shown. The device comprises a tank 1 adapted to be secured with a stand 2 and to store pollution reducing liquid 3 therein. At least one layer of the pebbles 4, constituting a filter layer, is provided inside the tank 1 at the bottom thereof. At least one inlet tube 5 passing through the bottom of the tank 1 is provided for’ allowing entry of the exhaust pollutants into the tank 1. Corresponding perforated inverted tube 6 is provided over the inlet tube 5 such that to discharge exhaust with pollutants near the bottom end of the tank 1. A liquid filling tube 10 is provided at the top end of the tank 1, A liquid level indicator 12 secured to the tank 1 is provided to indicate liquid level present in the tank 1. At least one layer of gauge filer 15 disposed in the tank 1 above the liquid level. An outlet 7 is provided near top end of the tank 1 for facilitating exit of the clean exhaust from the device.

Abstract: An aftertreatment system for a diesel engine is disclosed. The aftertreatment system may include a first flow conduit configured to convey an exhaust gas stream, and a first diffuser assembly positioned fluidly downstream of the first flow conduit and be configured to increase flow uniformity of the exhaust gas stream. The first diffuser assembly may include a first disperser having a honeycomb structure surrounded by a first outer frame. The first disperser may have a number of cells per square inch defining a first cell density. The aftertreatment system may also include a first selective catalytic reduction cassette positioned fluidly downstream of the first diffuser assembly, and the first selective catalytic reduction cassette may include a selective catalytic reduction catalyst.

Abstract: A power system for powering a load is provided. The power system includes a plurality of power sources with each power source including an engine. A SCR system is associated with the engine of at least one of the plurality of power sources. A controller is in communication with the plurality of power sources. The controller is configured to receive engine operation information, emission output information associated with each engine and conversion efficiency information associated with the SCR system and selectively apportion the power demand presented by the load between each of the plurality of power sources based on minimizing total engine emissions across the plurality of power sources and using the engine operation information, the emission output information and the conversion efficiency information.

The temperature of the exhaust gas resulting from combustion of the combustion gas is increased by the moment in time of the spark ignition being selected later in comparison with a present moment in time.

Abstract: An aftertreatment system and method treats exhaust gasses produced by an internal combustion process or similar process. The system includes an aftertreatment module having at least one sleeve extending between a first end and a second end. One or more aftertreatment bricks may be axially inserted through an opening disposed in the first end of the sleeve. The aftertreatment brick may include an substrate matrix surrounded by a tubular, protective mantle. To prevent the aftertreatment bricks from unintentionally exiting the sleeve, a retention ring is releasably engaged with the first end of the sleeve. The retention ring may include a dimension that is less than a dimension of the opening in the first end so that at least a portion of the retention ring contacts the mantle of the aftertreatment brick.
