Abstract: Techniques for generating pixel shifting patterns for organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays are provided. Pixel usage data for the OLED display can be accumulated. Areas of the OLED display susceptible to burn-in damage can be identified based on the accumulated pixel usage data. A pixel shifting pattern can be generated based on the accumulated pixel image data and data relating to an image to be displayed. The pixel shifting pattern can be generated to avoid the areas identified as susceptible to burn-in damage. The pixel shifting pattern can be applied to the image to be displayed to generate modified image data. The modified image data can limit further damage to the OLED display and thereby delay the onset of undesirable burn-in effects.

Abstract: Function extender devices for enhancing feature sets for display arrangements having source devices and sink devices are disclosed. Abstract: Methods and apparatus to implement aging compensation for emissive displays with subpixel rendering are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a converter to convert red-green-blue (RGB) data to subpixel rendering (SPR) data. The RGB data is indicative of an image to be rendered on an emissive display screen. The apparatus includes a compensator to apply pixel correction values to the SPR data to generate corrected SPR data to compensate for pixel degradation. The apparatus further includes a usage accumulator to track pixel usage based on the corrected SPR data. The apparatus also includes a correction calculator to calculate the pixel correction values based on the pixel usage.

Abstract: A smart display including one or more groups of smart pixels and at least one graphics engine. The at least one graphics engine is fragmented into GPU (graphics processing unit) minute cores. The GPU minute cores are distributed throughout the smart display. The smart pixels with distributed graphics within the smart display perform deep learning. Libraries stored on GPU minute core embedded memory are used to perform object identification using deep learning. The smart display monitors for pixel degradation and, if necessary, performs pixel enhancement.
