    摘要: An optical disk device capable of securing a rigidity of a tray that holds an optical disk is provided. When an optical disk is put into trays stacked in a main body, a holding portion provided to the tray holds the optical disk. In this case, since the holding portion holds the optical disk from the label face side of the optical disk, a recording face located on the opposite side to the label face can be opened without provision of a notch in the tray. Accordingly, a rigidity of the tray can be secured.

On this occasion, circumferential edge sensing units provided in the inside of the body sense a circumferential edge of the inserted optical disc continuously to thereby sense the outer diameter, shape and insertion state of the inserted optical disc. The optical disc is ejected when decision is made that there is abnormality.

    摘要: An optical disk device has superior vibration characteristics by preventing vibration of a rotating arm. A desired optical disk is selected from the plurality of optical disks which are stacked and accommodated. The rotating arm is rotated to a working space provided for the desired optical disk. A turntable is positioned, and an optical head is moved to perform the recording/reproduction. Because the tip part of the rotating arm of a cantilever structure is supported by a support member extending along the axial line CL of the optical disk, it has a structure supported by both ends. Thus, the vibration of the rotating arm can be prevented. Because the support member extends along the axial line CL of the optical disk, it passes through a holding hole at the center of the optical disk and a notch provided at the center of a tray, without interference on its way, thereby supporting the rotating arm.

A drive mechanism moves a turntable into the expanded region between the designated tray and the disc on the designated tray to place the turntable below the pushed disc. The drive mechanism includes a shaft, a base plate supported within the casing via the shaft, a damper, and a chassis connected to the base plate via the damper and carrying the turntable.
