    摘要： A mobile terminal that is capable of displaying a screen image during a specific state, which includes a character memory for storing character images and a screen image created by a combination of the character images and which is displayable during the specific state of the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal further includes a controller for controlling the display of the screen image, and a display unit for displaying the screen image. When an event occurs in the mobile terminal, the controller further processes the event and changes the display data of the screen image according to the event processing result, and displays the changed screen image during the specific state of the mobile terminal.

The method of processing a schedule alarm message in a portable terminal further comprises displaying a display window including items used for displaying the stored schedule information and an alarm time when the user confirms the schedule alarm message, allowing the user to correct the schedule information and to set the alarm time by using the items displayed in the display window, and registering the corrected schedule alarm message to a schedule alarm message list in response to a schedule alarm message registration request.

    摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for transmitting a text message in a wireless terminal. The apparatus and method include displaying data input when creating a text message and analyzing the data in order to check whether the data are character display instruction words. Character image information corresponding to the character display instruction words is searched. The character image information is added to the display instruction words, and the display instruction words having the character image information are added to the text message. Character data are added to the text message if the data are general character data. The above steps are repeated and recipient information for the character text message is input when the character text message has been created. The created character text message is then transmitted.

    摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for enabling a mobile terminal equipped with a camera to store document information. An image of a document picked up by the camera is displayed. In response to a document “RECOGNIZE” key input, a character image is recognized from the displayed document image and the character image is converted into character data. The character data is displayed on the first display area, and SAVE items are displayed on the second display area. A SAVE item is selected from the displayed SAVE items and character data associated with the selected SAVE item is selected, such that the selected SAVE item and the character data associated with the selected SAVE item can be displayed on the third display area. When a “CORRECT” key is input, candidate characters associated with an erroneously recognized character are displayed on the third display area. After the erroneously recognized character is corrected or replaced with a selected candidate character, a result of the correction is displayed on the third display area. When a “CONFIRM” key is input, the SAVE item and character data displayed on the third display area are stored.
