A method and a system are provided for reporting policy installation failures in the field of communications. The method and system enable the policy decision functional entity (PD-FE) to accurately obtain detailed information of policy installation failures of the policy enforcement functional entity (PE-FE), thus enhancing the efficiency of sending the next policy for installation. The method includes: when the installation of a policy sent from the PD-FE to the PE-FE is failed, the PE-FE generates a feedback message to be sent to the PD-FE, and the feedback message includes the error reason of the policy failed in installation.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method and policy enforcement functional entity (PE-FE) for implementing quality of service (QoS) request information. The method comprises the following steps: a PE-FE sends a policy decision functional entity (PD-FE) a QoS request message including predetermined parameters which are used to represent the QoS request information of the transport layer. The technical solutions mentioned above enable the QoS request information of the transport layer to be accurately represented, and implement the resource request process in the pull mode.

Disclosed in the present invention are a resource policy decision method and system in a roaming scenario, for improving the accuracy of the resources allocated to the user. The method includes: after having received an available resource query message from a mobility management and control function MMCF entity, a resource and admission control function RACF entity of a visited network acquiring degrade information of current service of a user from a resource and admission control platform, and according to a candidate access network list in the available resource query message, checking current availability of resource of each candidate access network in the candidate access network list, so as to obtain resource availability information of each candidate access network; the RACF entity of the visited network carrying out resource decision according to the degrade information, the resource availability information and user information of the user.

A feedback method and a processing system for policy installation failures are applied in communication technical field, which is favorable for an Access Resource Admission Control Function (A-RACF) to accurately grasp the detailed information of policy installation failure enforced by the Resource Control Enforcement Function (RCEF), therefore the efficiency of downwardly sending the policies for installation next time is improved. The method includes: when the installation of the policies downwardly sent from the A-RACF to the RCEF is failed, the RCEF generates a feedback message to be sent to the A-RACF, wherein the feedback message includes error reasons of the policy installation failures.

A method for resource and admission control in a pull mode and a system thereof are provided, and the method includes: after receiving a resource request sent by an application function entity, a resource and admission control platform of a retail service provider making a quality of service resource grant decision to this resource request according to user subscription information and a policy rule of the retail service provider, and if the resource request is admitted, sending the resource request to the resource and admission control platform of the wholesale service provider, which makes a quality of service resource grant decision to this resource request, and sends a result of the quality of service resource grant decision to the resource and admission control platform of the retail service provider which sends the received result of the quality of service resource grant decision to the application function entity.

The present disclosure discloses a method and system for resource and admission control in an NGN home network. Through setting up an Rh interface between the Policy Decision Function Entity of the NGN service provider and the Home Gateway Enforcement Function Entity in the customer premise network, the Policy Decision Function Entity of the service provider makes the resource and admission control policy for the customer premises network and sends down the policy rules to the customer premises network through the interface. Thus the quality of service of the network that the users use could be ensured well.

The disclosure provides a method for resource and admission control of a home network, the RACF of an NGN retail service provider formulates an initial policy rule according to a resource request after receiving the resource request sent by an SCF; a CPN performs authorization check on one or more resource requests after receiving them, each of which includes the initial policy rule and is sent by an RACF of a respective NGN retail service provider, formulates a final policy rule after the authorization check is passed, and executes the final policy rule. The disclosure further provides a system for resource and admission control of a home network correspondingly, since a CGPE-FE executes corresponding operation according to the decision result of an HPD-FE, the disclosure can avoid resource control errors such as resource desynchrony or resource inconsistence, and can improve system stability.

The present invention relates to an interaction method and device between resource and admission control systems, which is applied in a case that a mobile user equipment accesses a network at a fixed network side and deploys a service of the fixed network, the method includes: the resource and admission control system of the fixed network performing, after receiving a resource request sent from an application function of the fixed network, an authorization check on the resource request, and interacting with the resource and admission control system of a mobile network to make the resource and admission control system of the mobile network perform another authorization check on the resource request; if both the authorization checks are passed, the resource and admission control system of the fixed network formulating final policy rules, and returning a resource response to the application function of the fixed network. The device comprises the resource and admission control system of the fixed network and the resource and admission control system of the mobile network. The method and device of the present invention can solve the resource and admission control problems when a mobile user equipment accesses the network at the fixed network side and deploys a service in the fixed network.

The present invention discloses a method for selecting policy decision functional entity in the Resource and Admission Control System. The method includes that: for resource and admission control in the PULL mode, after the Transport Resource Control Function Entity (TRC-FE) receives a resource request message from the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) or after the Policy Enforcement Function Entity (PE-FE) receives a transport layer signaling sent by CPE, if the TRC-FE or PE-FE is interacting with more than one Policy Decision Functional Entities (PD-FEs), the TRC-FE or the PE-FE may select a PD-FE according to the stored identification information of PD-FE or statically configured PD-FE, and send a resource decision request message to the selected PD-FE. With the application of the present invention, in resource and admission control in the PULL mode, after receiving the resource request initiated by CPE through the transport layer signaling message, the TRC-FE or PE-FE may select the exact PD-FE to implement the resource reservation process, thereby resolving the problem in prior art that during the resource and admission control process the TRC-FE or PE-FE can not select the exact PD-FE to send resource decision requests.
