    摘要: A vehicle mounted energy generator and storage system includes: a screened air inlet facing a front of the vehicle through which air enters when the vehicle is moving forward; a pneumatic barrel impeller assembly including one or more integral impeller air vanes positioned such that air flowing through the air inlet applies positive pressure to the one or more impeller air vanes to turn the pneumatic barrel impeller assembly and drive one or more generator/transmission assemblies; one or more batteries receiving energy generated by the pneumatic barrel impeller assembly; and an evacuation blower applying negative pressure to the rear of the impeller air vanes by evacuating air through one or more screened outlets not facing the front of the vehicle.

    摘要: One or more batteries are packaged in a transparent plastic tube having opposite end caps, one of which having an integral foldable handle for hanging the tube on a display rack. The batteries are positioned within the tube by a spacer member adapted for the particularly shape of the battery when other than "D" size cells are being sold. The assemblage is covered and held together by a transparent shrink wrap which has an opaque portion printed about a semi-circumference thereof leaving a window through which a consumer can see the batteries being purchased. Once the shrink wrap is removed, the remainder can be used to store those batteries which are not immediately put into use or as a recycling mailer for returning batteries which are recyclable.

    摘要: A lifting hook for lifting open-frame steel joists comprises a casing having a shaft passing through it. The shaft has a lifting eye at one end and a hook member at the other end. The hook member comprises a U-shaped body having a transverse width selected to be less than the gap between the angles that form the upper flange of the open-frame joist. The hook member has a throat that is larger than the width of the flange. The shaft is spring-loaded so that the hook member is pulled toward the lower bearing surface of the casing so that once the hook member has been inserted into the joist, it is keyed to the flange and will not come loose.
