摘要： The present invention relates to methods for ligation. The invention provides novel reagents and methods for ligating an acyl donor compound with an acyl acceptor compound. 摘要： A low water flush toilet having a bowl with a horizontal ledge extending around the bowl periphery near its open upper end with a flush water nozzle on the ledge for discharging water in a generally horizontal direction onto the ledge. A pulsator is provided for producing pulses of flush water that are discharged onto the ledge with the water of each pulse flowing at varying velocities such that as the water flows around the ledge, some of the water will fall off the ledge around substantially the entire periphery of the bowl resulting in wetting of the entire bowl surface for cleaning the bowl. The pulsator includes a spring biased piston for discharging pulses of water.

摘要： A portable toilet comprises a spout via which accumulated waste contents are dumped at a suitable sanitary disposal station. The disclosed embodiment of portable toilet comprises separably mounted seat and holding tank sections which cooperatively define a storage housing for the spout when it is not in use. For dumping the two sections are separated. The spout is rotatably mounted in an aperture in the top wall of the holding tank and is swung from its stored position and a cap at the end of the spout is unscrewed. A vent valve is also provided in the top wall of the holding tank and it is manually operated by the person dumping the holding tank so as to vent the head space during dumping.

摘要： An improved sealing mechanism for closing the bottom opening of a toilet bowl and adapted to be moved between open and closed positions with a minimum of human effort. The mechanism includes a movable blade and an elastic seal in the form of a curtain that functions to wipe foreign material from the blade when the latter is moved between open and closed positions, the curtain also functioning to provide a seal when the blade is in its closed position. The blade is supported so that when in its closed position it will always align itself with respect to the curtain to maintain an optimum seal. The blade is pivotally supported on an arm of a vertically disposed crank which is spring-actuated to an upper position and which can be depressed and pivoted for moving the blade between its closed and open positions.

摘要： A battery operated flush assembly for a portable toilet. The flush assembly includes a pump and motor mounted to the toilet's seat section. A battery pack is removably mounted to the seat section and includes terminals which, as a result of mounting, become coupled to the motor. The battery pack supplies electrical power to the motor and includes an actuator, protected from inadvertent actuation within a recess, for electrically closing the electrical circuit and causing operation of the pump to discharge flush water into the bowl. A check valve, located in-line with the discharged flush water, opens in response to the pumping of flush water and is maintained open with minimal line pressure to increase the life of the battery pack. An O-ring is also used to ensure that the battery pack can be easily removed and reinstalled with a fluid tight seal therearound.

摘要： A mechanism for multiplying rotation. The mechanism includes two armatures of differing lengths which rotate about different centers of rotation. The armatures are coupled together such that a rotation of one armature will produce a multiplied rotation in the other armature. The multiplying mechanism has particular application with a valve assembly of the type used in self-contained sanitary systems of recreational vehicles. The valve assembly includes a seal element having a sealing lip directed toward generally inward and downward of a fill opening a valve blade in the holding tank. The sealing lip terminates in a downwardly and outwardly oriented flange. The valve blade is actuatable through two movements. The first movement moves the valve blade generally vertically into and out of engagement with the seal element. The second movement moves the valve blade generally horizontally to a position out of registry with the fill opening.

摘要： A rotatable telescoping drain assembly permanently mounted at the end to waste receptacle drain on the underside of a recreational vehicle consisting of a swivel coupling unit attached to an axially extensible flow hose within a telescoping support tube assembly, a tie rod assembly connected to and extending between the tube assembly and the swivel coupling unit, and a discharge spout unit connected to the other end of the telescoping support tube and flow hose assembly which includes an internal valve. The telescoping tube assembly can be relatively telescoped, the swivel coupling relatively swiveled, and the tie rod relatively pivoted to locate the spout into the inlet of appropriate waste storage facility. During travel of the vehicle the discharge spout and drain assembly is supported within an enclosed cabinet mounted on the vehicle. The telescoping drain assembly allows the vehicle operator to conveniently avoid the usual mess associated with emptying liquid waste receptacles on the vehicle.

摘要： A pourspout accessory kit for use with a portable toilet holding tank to facilitate dumping of the holding tank's contents via an outlet opening in the holding tank. The accessory kit copmrises a pourspout having an inlet end for attachment to the holding tank outlet opening and an outlet end spaced from the inlet end. Respective inlet and outlet end closure caps cover the inlet and outlet ends respectively of the pourspout. The inlet end of the pourspout is configured to fit a holding tank outlet opening having either a partial internal screw thread or a full external screw thread. The attachment to the partial internal screw thread is by means of a pair of bayonets on diametrically opposite sides of the pourspout which engage the partial screw threads on diametrically opposite sides of the holding tank outlet opening. The attachment of the pourspout to the external screw thread is by means of a retainer element fitted over the pourspout and which has an endwall overlapping a circumferential flange on the pourspout and a sidewall having an internal screw thread which threads onto the external thread of the holding tank outlet opening. An O-ring seal seats in a circumferential groove extending around the outside of the pourspout adjacent the flange and provides a leak-proof seal when the pourspout is attached to the holding tank. Two embodiments of O-ring seal are disclosed. The provision of closure caps for both ends of the pourspout provides for its convenient stowage when not in use. The accessory kit can be used with newly purchased toilets as well as those already owned by users.
