摘要： The invention relates to a method for removing a chemical substance from human excreta, such as faeces and urine, comprising the following steps of: providing a toilet for a person from whose excreta the chemical substance must be removed; releasably connecting a filtering device to the toilet, wherein the filtering device comprises at least one removable cartridge with a filter; transporting the excreta by means of a transport screw from the toilet toward the filter in the cartridge, wherein pressure is exerted on the excreta by means of a plunger; filtering the chemical substance out of the excreta in situ using the filtering device; periodically replacing the at least one cartridge; and processing the replaced cartridge. The invention also relates to a filtering device for application in this method, and a cartridge for use in such a filtering device.

The septic system further includes an anaerobic bacterial treatment that processes excretory material disposed in the primary chamber into effluent which is transferred out of the primary chamber via the fluid communication member and into the secondary chamber before it is transferred out of the secondary chamber via an outlet member that extends towards either a leach field or a third chamber.

摘要： A system and method for separating human waste and converting urine into potable water for drinking and use in a hand washing station (165). In one aspect a commode (100), a three-way valve (110) at the outlet of the commode, a urine reactants tank (145), a storage container (160), a pump (170), and a spigot (175) are used. A user turns an actuator (111) on the valve in one direction to direct feces and feces-plus-urine into a reactants tank for feces, and in another direction to direct urine into the urine reactants tank. The urine reactants tank contains a plurality of baffles (210) separating the tank into chambers. A first chamber contains algae and microorganisms supplied by a seed (150). These organisms absorb nutrients from the urine as they grow into a mass (152). A last chamber contains only purified water that flows from the tank into the storage container from which it can be pumped to the spigot.

摘要： A flush toilet of the present invention has a toilet stool and an incinerating pot, they are connected to each other by a vertical drain pipe. A shutter is provided which opens the drain pipe during discharge of waste material and closes after completion of the discharge. The shutter is positioned approximately midway of the drain pipe. Raw sewage can be delivered to the incinerating pot, and flush water can be introduced to another location. By introducing flush water to another location, only raw sewage or other waste material can be efficiently incinerated. The flush water used can be reused as flush water after filtration with a filtering apparatus.

摘要： A macerator/ejector pump within a waste material holding tank on a boat liquefies solid waste material in the tank and pumps the liquefied waste material through a discharge line adapted for connection to an on-shore waste collection system. The macerator/ejector pump comprises a pump and a plurality of cutter blades pitched to direct the liquefied waste to the intake port of the pump, the pump and the cutter blades being driven by a shaft connected to an electric motor mounted on the top of the holding tank. The holding tank may be discharged into the on-shore waste collection system without requiring a shore-based pump-out station. A plurality of rods extend into the holding tank for sensing the level of waste material, and a holding tank monitor displays this level by means of colored indicator lamps.
