Abstract: A building management system includes a system manager and a cloud-based data platform. The system manager is configured to identify building equipment and generate a reported network tree listing the building equipment. The cloud-based data platform is configured to receive the reported network tree from the system manager, generate a list of bound properties of the building equipment based on the reported network tree, and create timeseries for the bound properties of the building equipment. The system manager is configured to detect a change of value (COV) of a bound property listed in the list of bound properties and post a sample of the bound property to the timeseries in response to detecting the COV of the bound property.

Abstract: A system for monitoring and controlling a central plant includes a high level optimizer, a subplant monitor, a user interface, and a dispatch graphical user interface (GUI) generator. The central plant includes a plurality of subplants configured to serve a thermal energy load. The high level optimizer is configured to determine recommended subplant loads for each of the plurality of subplants. The subplant monitor is configured to monitor the central plant and identify actual subplant loads for each of the plurality of subplants. The user interface is configured to receive manual subplant loads specified by a user. The dispatch GUI generator is configured to generate a dispatch GUI and present the dispatch GUI via the user interface. The dispatch GUI includes the recommended subplant loads, the actual subplant loads, and the manual subplant loads.

Abstract: A system for updating a device in a building management system (BMS). The system includes a third-party device and a device manager of a control network. The device manager updates the third-party device and includes a processing circuit that determines that the third-party device has been discovered on the control network. The processing circuit further populates a template with a set of received data from the third-party device and maps the third-party device with control network based on the populated template of received data. The processing circuit further configures the third-party device to operate in the control network, wherein configuring the third-party device comprises transforming a data exchange format of the third-party device.

Abstract: An equipment controller in a building management system (BMS) includes a feature detector and a dynamic point list generator. The feature detector is configured to receive sensor input from a sensor and determine a set of features available to the equipment controller based on the sensor input. The dynamic point list generator is configured to determine unavailable features based on the set of available features and identify one or more points in a complete point list associated with the set of unavailable features. The dynamic point list generator is configured to generate a dynamic point list by removing the identified points from the complete point list and expose the dynamic point list to a BMS controller communicably connected to the equipment controller.

Abstract: A building management system including a system manager, a zone coordinator, and one or more zone controllers configured to monitor and control building zones. The system manager includes a system bus datalink having an active node table stored therein. The zone coordinator includes a second system bus datalink and a zone bus datalink. A system bus connects the first system bus datalink to the second system bus datalink. A zone bus connects the zone bus datalink to the one or more zone controllers. The active node table includes a plurality of nodes, each node representing a system bus device communicating on the system bus. The system manager is configured to monitor the active node table for new nodes and to identify a new system bus device communicating on the system bus in response to a determination that the active node table includes a new node.

The cloud-based data platform is configured to generate a device shadow for the system manager prior to installation of the system manager at a building site. The device shadow includes a virtual representation of the system manager including the device identifier. The system manager is configured to establish a communications link with the cloud-based data platform upon installation of the system manager at the building site. The cloud-based data platform is configured to update the device shadow based on information received from the system manager via the communications link.

The system manager is configured to obtain timeseries data from the building equipment and generate a request for a timeseries identifier based on the timeseries data. The cloud-based data platform includes a timeseries service configured to receive the request for the timeseries identifier from the system manager, create a timeseries for the building equipment, assign the timeseries identifier to the timeseries, and send the timeseries identifier to the system manager. The system manager is configured to generate a timeseries sample comprising the timeseries data and send the timeseries sample to the timeseries service along with the timeseries identifier which identifies the timeseries sample as a sample of the timeseries.
