摘要： A sonic grade control device for maintaining a leveling instrument of a paver at a constant distance from a datum. The device transmits and receives a sonic signal to provide first and second time periods corresponding to the round trip travel time of a sonic signal to the datum and a target, respectively. A distance indicating signal, corresponding to the distance between the control device and the datum, is provided in response to the first and second time periods and a stored target distance, such target distance corresponding to the distance between the control device and the target. The grade control device includes an operator actuable control for modifying the stored target distance to calibrate the control device. A reference signal is compared to the distance indicating signal to provide a control signal. The reference signal is adjustable by a predetermined increment and the control device includes an operator actuable control for modifying the predetermined increment. The position of the leveling instrument is changed in response to the control signal being greater than a predetermined, or deadband value. The control device includes a display for indicating such predetermined value and an operator actuable control for modifying such value.

摘要： A drum mixer for recycling old asphalt pavement features a stationary shroud enveloping a series of circumferentially spaced feed ports medially of the drum. The old pavement is introduced tangentially into the shroud and then into a series of "hoppers" within the shroud formed about the feed ports and revolving with the drum. The old pavement falls through the feed ports onto the exterior of a conical inner drum and is directed to the downstream end of the latter by flighting thereon where it joins virgin aggregate emerging from the interior of the inner drum.

摘要： A jaw crusher having a dynamically adjustable tramp iron relief system is disclosed. A moveable jaw and a stationary jaw define a crushing chamber, with a lower portion of the moveable jaw cooperating with a lower portion of the stationary jaw to define a closed side setting gap. A hydraulic tramp iron relief system operatively connects at least one of the jaws to the frame and is arranged to permit uncrushable material to pass through the crushing chamber by permitting the lower portion of the jaw to shift to a shifted position in which the gap is increased. The tramp iron relief system includes an adjustable hydraulic cylinder, the hydraulic cylinder arranged to permit the gap to be adjusted during operation of the crusher.

摘要： A gyratory crusher includes a flexible dust seal having an outer edge attached to a cone head of the crusher and to an outer of a ball-bearing seal, an inner race of which is attached to a mounting arrangement for rotationally mounting an eccentric member about a crusher axis with a pair of taper bearings and for rotationally mounting the cone head about a cone head axis offset from the crusher axis. The cone head is also mounted on a plurality of hydrostatic bearings. A mantel of the crusher is attached to the cone head by a removable cap nut and mantel stud. The crusher includes a self-contained lubricating system and a hydraulic tramp iron relief system with connections contained internally within structure of a lower frame portion of the crusher. The crusher includes a drive gear centered about the crusher axis and attached directly to the eccentric member. The crusher also includes a thermal relief system adapted to transfer thermal energy from the mounting arrangement to the lower frame portion connected to the mounting arrangement.

摘要： An improved concrete mixing plant is mounted on several mobile chassis to provide portability. The plant includes a horizontally oriented, internally urethane coated mixing drum having spiral and lift flights such that the rate of discharging concrete material is controllable without altering the direction or rate of rotation. The drum and chute are self-erecting from a low-profile, transport configuration to an elevated, mixing configuration. A water dispensing system wherein the water is automatically measured volumetrically or, alternatively, gravimetrically provides automatic cleaning of internal surfaces of the mixing drum as an integral part of the batching process. Feeder belt and weigh-bridge arrangements are interposed between bins containing denser ingredients and a collecting conveyor to provide a first surge capability. A hopper and load cell arrangement is interposed between a compartmented silo and a surge conveyor to provide a further surge capability. A ploughing arrangement places lighter ingredients within a furrow in the denser ingredients to minimize generation of airborne particulate matter within the surge conveyor. A baghouse filter and blower arrangement creates a negative pressure relative to ambient atmosphere within a containment system for eliminating contamination from airborne particulate matter. A control unit interconnecting the various components substantially automates the plant.

摘要： A compact, enclosable plant for producing hot mix asphalt from various ingredients, including recycle asphalt pavement ("RAP"). The system includes an inclined rotary drum, a burner assembly for generating a hot gas stream within the drum; a baghouse, exhaust blower, and stack mounted above the drum for reclaiming entrained particulate matter; an auger arrangement for returning the reclaimed particulate matter to the: and a supporting frame. The baghouse has a lower chamber for collecting the reclaimed particulate matter and for serving as a primary hopper for certain of the various ingredients. A plurality of preferably rectangularly shaped storage and loadout silos for containing certain of the ingredients and the hot mix asphalt, and conveyors for conveying the certain ingredients and hot mix asphalt to and from the storage and loadout silos, and to a bypass chute for direct loading on transport vehicles. The system is compact such that lengths of conveyors and ducting interconnecting the baghouse and drum can be minimized, and such that the system can be enclosed to minimize noise and odor pollution and to provide an esthetic appearance. The system may be configured in either a counterflow configuration or a parallel flow configuration.
