摘要: The present invention relates to a system for detecting and handling an overload event in a crusher system. The system comprises a crusher system a crusher for comminution of material. 摘要: A rock crusher includes a bowl coupled to a frame and a head assembly coupled to the frame defining a crushing gap between the head assembly and the bowl. The rock crusher further includes a number of fixed displacement hydraulic motors adapted to rotate the bowl with respect to the frame and a hydraulic fluid source providing a flow rate of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic motors. A hydraulic control valve is adapted to remove one of the hydraulic motors from operation, directing the hydraulic fluid to the remaining hydraulic motors. The flow rate of hydraulic fluid remains unchanged, thereby increasing the hydraulic fluid flow rate provided to and the speed of the remaining hydraulic motors.

摘要: A gyratory crusher for crushing material having a frame mechanism including a lower frame portion; a crusher head having a bottom surface; a mounting mechanism for pivotally and gyrationally mounting the crusher head on the lower frame portion wherein the mounting mechanism includes a plurality of hydrostatic bearings configured to form a sliding engagement with the bottom surface of the crusher head to operatively support the crusher head; a drive train configured to operatively connect said mounting mechanism to an external power source; and a self-contained lubricating system for operatively lubricating the mounting mechanism and the drive train, wherein the self-contained lubricating system includes a flow divider configured to separately distribute lubricant to each hydrostatic bearing of the plurality of hydrostatic bearings wherein the flow divider is further configured to operatively provide lubricant to each sliding engagement of the plurality of hydrostatic bearings such that the crusher head is slightly elevated from the plurality of hydrostatic bearings, a monitoring system for monitoring the volume rate of lubricant flowing through the flow divider wherein the monitoring system is configured to operatively signal shut-down of the gyratory crusher as the volume rate decreases below a predetermined level, a pressure transducer configured to operatively signal shut-down of the gyratory crusher in the event that pressure of the lubricant to the flow divider decreases below a pre-determined level, and a relief valve configured to prevent pressure of the lubricant to the flow divider from exceeding a pre-determined level.

The seal mechanism includes a flexible member having an outer edge, sealingly connected to the crusher head, and an inner edge, sealingly connected to the lower frame portion by an outer bearing race secured to the inner edge, an inner bearing race secured to the lower frame portion, and bearing balls captured between the outer and inner bearing races. The flexible member may have a single wall structure with a corrugation-like configuration, or a double wall structure with an inflatable bladder therebetween.

摘要: A gyratory crusher for crushing material having a frame with a lower frame portion; a crusher head; a mounting mechanism for pivotally and gyrationally mounting the crusher head: and a thermal relief system for operably transferring thermal energy from the mounting mechanism to the lower frame portion, wherein the thermal relief system includes at least one collar in thermal communication with the lower frame portion and a self-contained circulating system configured to operatively circulate coolant through the at least one collar. The thermal relief system may be configured to operatively provide a cooling system for cooling lubricant being used to lubricate the mounting mechanism. The coolant may be a lubricant such that the self-contained circulating system may be configured to operatively circulate the lubricant simultaneously through the thermal relief system and the mounting mechanism. Alternatively, the self-contained circulating system may be configured to operatively circulate lubricant through the mounting mechanism, and, after the lubricant reaches and surpasses a pre-selected temperature, to also simultaneously circulate the lubricant through the thermal relief system. A bypass valve arrangement is provided to operatively bypass flow of the coolant or lubricant through the at least one collar as the temperature of the coolant or lubricant is below a pre-selected temperature.

摘要: A bowl support ring for a gyratory rock crusher has an annular inwardly directed threaded surface extending in an upright direction. A bowl having an outwardly directed threaded surface is engageable with the threaded surface on the bowl support ring for supporting the bowl on the support ring and for rotatably adjusting it to different vertical planes. A locking ring threadedly engaged with the bowl above the support ring is connected to downwardly extending hydraulic cylinders secured to the main frame of the crusher. These cylinders are arranged to apply a hold-down force on the locking ring which in turn provides a hold-down force acting through the threads of the locking ring and bowl to maintain the bowl in a stationary vertical position and also to frictionally lock the threads of the locking ring and bowl together to maintain the bowl in a non-rotatable position. A plurality of retainer pins with adjustable thrust portions maintain the locking ring in proper spaced relation from the support ring.

摘要: The gap between the bowl cone and the gyrating cone of a cone crusher, though adjustable by hydraulically lifting the bowl, is safely fixed during crushing by shims for vertical firmness and by a ring of wedge segments binding the side of the bowl. Both are held firm by spring washers, with no need to maintain a hydraulic pressure. For adjustment hydraulic jacks of one set release both shims and wedge, with the correct sequencing for removal of shims. A floater ring is normally pressed by one set of spring washers for clamping the shims. When it is pressed down hydraulically it first releases the shims, but further movement under influence of a small pump presses down the wedge segments, overcoming the spring washers which normally press the wedge segments for wedging. The shims are double shim plates some of which have slots that prevent removal of the right hand end until the left end has been swung free, and the others of which are just the opposite. Removal is dependably prevented by a pin through these shims. Oil jets at nearly the same height deliver oil to upper and lower bearings, with the upper jets jumping a gap of gyration, without need for overflooding the lower bearings, so that moderate total flow is sufficient for cooling all bearings. The pedestal spider arms, which support the inner base from the outer base while letting crushed rock fall to discharge between them, are made hollow and sealed by a bottom plate, thereby enlarging the reservoir, improving cooling, and providing fully protected tunnels from outside of the falling rock to the inner base for various selected uses.
