An image forming system includes: an image forming apparatus having a priority paper feed source setting function and a print server that executes predetermined image processing, transmits image data after the image processing to the image forming apparatus, and causes the image forming apparatus to print an image based on the image data after the image processing. The print server (a) acquires a setting value of a priority paper feed source setting from the image forming apparatus, (b) specifies a print sheet orientation of a paper feed source designated as a priority paper feed source based on the acquired setting value, and (c) generates the image data after the image processing by matching an orientation of the image based on the image data after the image processing with an orientation corresponding to the specified print sheet orientation.

An image reading apparatus includes a document table, a first generating section, a first assigning section, a second generating section, a second assigning section, and a relating section. The first generating section generates a plurality of first image data pieces representing respective first side images of a plurality of documents. The first assigning section assigns first symbols to the respective first image data pieces based on a reference position of the document table. The second generating section generates a plurality of second image data pieces representing respective second side images of the plurality of documents. The second assigning section assigns second symbols to the respective second image data pieces based on the reference position. The relating section relates the first image data pieces to the respective second image data pieces based on the first symbols and the second symbols.

An image forming system includes a conveyance processing portion, a setting processing portion, an insertion processing portion, and an operation control portion. The conveyance processing portion executes a conveyance process to convey a plurality of sheets placed on a sheet placing portion, sequentially to a sheet stack portion. When the insertion timing to insert the insertion sheet comes during an execution of the conveyance process, the insertion processing portion executes an insertion process to convey a sheet from the sheet supply source of the insertion sheet to the sheet stack portion. The operation control portion is configured to control operations of an image forming apparatus during execution of a sheet bundle output process based on the sheet type of the insertion sheet conveyed in the insertion process that is included in the sheet bundle output process, the sheet bundle output process including the conveyance process and the insertion process.

A document feed portion of an image reading device is capable of feeding a document placed on a first document placement portion, to a predetermined reading position. A size detection portion detects a size of the document placed on the first document placement portion. A storage processing portion stores size information indicating the size of the document detected by the size detection portion, into a predetermined storage medium. An image reading portion performs a reading process of scanning a read surface of the document placed on a second document placement portion, to read an image. A setting portion sets the size information stored into the storage medium by the storage processing portion, as size information to be used for the reading process by the image reading portion.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a display processing portion, a setting processing portion, an acceptance processing portion, and a change processing portion. The display processing portion causes a setting screen including a detection result on a sheet size of a sheet stored in a sheet storing portion to be displayed. The setting processing portion sets a processing condition of the sheet based on information included in the setting screen. The acceptance processing portion causes some of sheet sizes used for setting the processing condition to be displayed according to a specific operation corresponding to the detection result on the sheet size of the sheet included in the setting screen, and accepts a designation operation for designating any of the displayed sheet sizes. An image reading apparatus includes a document sheet table, an image reading portion, a detection processing portion, and a determination processing portion. A document sheet is placed on the document sheet table. The image reading portion reads linear image data representing an image of a linear area that extends along a main scanning direction of the document sheet that is placed on the document sheet table. The detection processing portion detects, based on the linear image data, a size of the document sheet in the main scanning direction. The determination processing portion determines, when the size of the document sheet in the main scanning direction detected by the detection processing portion meets a specific condition, that the document sheet is a predetermined card-shaped document sheet.
