摘要： A napkin dispenser includes a housing 12 configured to receive a stack 35 of napkins disposed such that panels of the napkins are facing in a vertical direction and edges of the napkins are horizontally oriented along a front wall. The housing has a vertical slot 28 in the front wall thereof, the horizontal span 30 of the slot being sufficient to allow access to the napkins A dispensing control frame 32 is mounted in the slot for upward and downward motion along the front wall of the housing. The dispensing control frame has at least one and preferably a pair of support members 34, 36 configured to engage the napkin stack and limit downward motion of the control frame. The control frame also has a faceplate 38 disposed between the support members and extending across the vertical slot of the front wall defining an access height relative to the top of the stack in order to promote dispensing of a limited number of napkins.

There is a first structure (3) that defines one or more thin slots (8) that are generally parallel to the perimeter of the container (2), and that have a smallest dimension that is greater than the smallest dimension of a strip (S), where the slots (8) are configured and arranged to inhibit two strips that are stuck together back to back from passing through the slot (8) together. There is also a strip sorting structure (4) that inhibits a strip (S) that has at least partially passed through a slot (8) from fully leaving the container (2) until the strip (S) is pulled out of the container (2) by the user.

摘要： A dispensing apparatus includes a container having an opening, and a doser coupled with the container about the container opening. The doser includes a housing forming a chamber with an interior wall, an inlet, and an outlet. The inlet is diametrically offset from the outlet, and substantially aligned with the opening of the container. The doser also includes a covering member to alternatively cover and open the inlet and the outlet. The covering member is movable about a range of positions to substantially completely cover at least one of the inlet and outlet at all positions in the range. The covering member covers no more than a portion of the chamber interior wall when the covering member completely opens the outlet.

摘要： An electronic apparatus such as a computer terminal, video camcorder, portable picture phone or a bar code reader includes a display which is arranged to pivot so as to provide optimum ease of viewing for the user. A reader such as an optical scanner for scanning indicia, for example bar code symbols, comprises a handle portion and, mounted pivotally thereon, a head portion. The angle of the head portion relative to the handle portion can be adjusted by rotating the head portion as desired. The reader can thus be used to read bar code symbols that would otherwise be inaccessible. In an alternative embodiment a reading head is mounted pivotally on a fixed terminal and is movable so as to accommodate the physical requirements of the operator.

摘要： A portable optical scanning system incorporates a ring mounted optical scanner module which is arranged to transmit data either via radio or cable to a wrist mount unit. The wrist mount unit may either receive and store the information, or it may include a radio transmitter for onward transmission of the data. A variety of different rings, ring mounted scanner modules, wrist mounts and wrist mount units may be provided for various applications, the user simply picking those which are required in any individual case. The scanner module is mounted to the ring by a breakaway element allowing the module easily to break off the mounting to prevent damage and/or injury.
