    摘要: A fermented milk drink having a stable milky white appearance is prepared by adjusting the solids content and pH of a fermented milk to a solids-not-fat content of 0.5 to 2.5% and a pH of 3.00 to 3.45, heating the resultant adjusted fermented milk to a temperature above 60.degree. C. to dissolve milk protein therein, cooling the heated fermented milk and adjusting the pH to 3.5 to 3.8, and heating the fermented milk having a pH of 3.5 to 3.8 to a temperature above 60.degree. C. to cause re-formation of milk protein particles of relatively uniform small particle size to produce the fermented milk drink.

    摘要: An exhaust emission control device includes a catalytic converter arranged in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine. The catalytic converter includes an upstream catalytic converter and a downstream catalytic converter arranged on a downstream side of the upstream catalytic converter. The upstream catalytic converter includes a first support and a first catalyst supported on the first support. The first catalyst includes a first lower layer catalyst and a first upper layer catalyst. Pd in the first lower layer catalyst is supported only on the oxygen storage component contained in the first catalyst. The first upper layer catalyst is provided on the first lower layer catalyst, Pd in the first upper layer catalyst being supported on each of the oxygen storage component and Al2O3 contained in the first catalyst.

    摘要: An automotive engine is provided with a fuel control system having a fuel injector for injecting a properly controlled quantity of fuel into cylinders of the automobile engine. The control system is adapted to cause the fuel injector to inject an increased quantity of fuel when an engine control value, relative to which the automotive engine changes its speed of rotation for a decision as to whether the automotive engine is in an acceleration state, is higher than a critical level. The control system also detects the transmission coupled to the automobile engine, and changes, when a temperature of the automotive engine is lower than a preselected temperature, the critical level according to the type of transmission detected.

    摘要: A fuel injection control system is designed to be commonly available to an engine with a manual transmission and an engine with an automatic transmission. The internal combustion engine has a fuel injection device for delivering different amounts of fuel to the engine according to engine operating conditions. The fuel injection control system causes the fuel injection device to make an increase in fuel amount when the engine operates in a specific zone of engine operating conditions defined by engine operating speeds and loads. When the engine operating condition remains in the specific zone, the control system makes the increase in fuel amount with a time delay from a time the engine operating condition changes into the specific zone. The specific zone, when the engine is equipped with an automatic transmission, is expanded toward a side of engine speeds higher than an engine speed by which an upper extreme engine speed of the specific zone is defined that when the engine operates in the expanded part of the specific range and at high elevations, the system intentionally causes an increase in fuel.
