摘要: An electronic ballast presenting an input capacitor (C) and including a step-up converter (LH, DH, SH, CH) for operating a load, for example a discharge lamp (CFL), on a phase control dimmer (DIM) having an integrated or parasite inductance (L). According to the invention, excessive voltage after connection with a phase control can be reduced by adjusting currents via of the step-up converter (LH, DH, SH, CH).

摘要: A light source for an atomizing device, specifically an atom absorption spectrometer comprising one, two, or more lamps, whose ray can be selected by means of at least one two-dimensionally moveable optical selection element, and which can be directed in the direction of atomizing device. Fine-tuning is thereby achieved quickly with little constructive expenditure and with low costs. A very high degree of accuracy is possible from the selector through a rotational and highly adjustable rotation spindle.

摘要: The invention relates to an electrosurgical instrument that comprises two branches joined to one another in an articulated manner, which can be actuated to open or close in a manner corresponding to a clamping, spreading or cutting tool. The instrument further comprises electrode parts at distal ends of the branches, which are used for grasping tissue and passing a coagulation current through the tissue for the purpose of coagulating it and which are electrically insulated from one another, as well as current-supply devices to supply the coagulation current to the electrode parts. In addition, on at least at one electrode part, a cutting section designed as a cutting electrode is provided whereby the electrode part comprises the cutting section and a coagulation section. In addition a control unit is provided to control the HF current in such a way that when a threshold value characterizing a particular property of the grasped tissue has been reached, a cutting current different from the coagulation current is supplied to at least the cutting section.

摘要: An X-ray system has a patient examination table, an image acquisition unit under the surface of the patient examination table, and an X-ray radiator that can be positioned above the patient examination table, On the patient examination table a radiation protection device is disposed, which—during the operation—shields at least one zone on one side of the patient examination table from the radiation area between the X-ray radiator and the image acquisition unit. In addition, on the patient examination table an X-ray system operation unit is disposed that is accessible from the shielded zone.

摘要: The invention concerns a method for the production of an organic fertilizer of humic-like nature, by oxidising and ammoniating treatment of lignite, characterised by the fact that lignite is suspended in a aqueous ammoniacal medium of pH>9 to 12 and in this context is partially dissolved and is oxidised at a temperature of 20-100° C. at normal pressure; and the organic fertilizer being obtained as a dispersion in aqueous medium, by thickening, or by drying, with a C/N ratio from 9 to 15. An organic fertilizer as well as its use is described. The process enables the production of an organic fertilizer from lignite distinguished by a humus-like structure and slow-releasing fertilization effect, and its use as such or as an addition to yield-increasing and soil-ameliorating substrates.

摘要: In the manufacture of viscose, and an elongate cellulose member such as standard viscose rayon fibre, with reduced alkali ratio from dissolving-grade cellulose such as wood pulp by irradiation with a high energy beam at a dose of 1-30 kGy, steeping in aqueous sodium hydroxide, pressing to form alkali cellulose, xanthating to form cellulose xanthate, dissolving in aqueous liquor to form viscose and (when elongate cellulose members are required) extruding through a die into an acid bath for coagulation and regeneration to form an elongate cellulose member which is then washed and dried, viscose filtration can be improved by including in the dissolving liquor for the cellulose xanthate an amount of from 200 to 10000 ppm by weight of a salt which consists of alkali metal or ammonium cations and anions of a strong acid.

摘要: A probe for use in the coagulation of biological tissue by plasma discharge comprises a protective device with a mask made of an insulating material. The mask is so constructed and attachable to the probe that parts of the biological tissue that are vulnerable or other parts that likewise should not be coagulated can be shielded by the masking region.
