    摘要: A discharge lamp lighting apparatus has a problem that a microcomputer within the apparatus falls down into malfunction due to noises generated in an inside thereof. With such the structure of the discharge lamp lighting apparatus that an operation of a calculation processing circuit, which is built up with the microcomputer, etc., is stopped through stopping the supply of electric power to the calculation processing circuit or bringing it into a sleep mode, it is possible to protecting it from the malfunction, during a time period when high voltage is generated just after starting of lighting of the discharge lamp. Also, with applying a protection processing by means of the calculation processing circuit and also applying an analog protection circuit, in common with, thereby it is possible to ensure reliability thereof further.

    摘要: An image display apparatus capable of adjusting a display picture by an input unit through a computer body is disclosed. When the user inputs a control instruction for adjusting the display picture of the display unit by the input unit connected to the computer body, a control signal addition circuit prepares a control signal Sc corresponding to the control instruction and adds the control signal to a video signal R, G or B or a synchronizing signal Hs or Vs produced by a display control circuit during a vertical retrace period. A control signal separation circuit separates the added control signal Sc from the video signal R, G or B or the synchronizing signal Hs or Vs produced by the control signal addition circuit. A display control circuit produces adjustment signals Sa and Sb on the basis of the control signal from the control signal separation circuit to adjust a video circuit and a deflection circuit. Thus, the user can adjust the display picture by the input unit near at hand without extending the hands to adjustment switches of the display unit.

    摘要: A horizontal deflection circuit including a horizontal deflection output circuit and a horizontal sawtooth wave current generation circuit. The horizontal output deflection circuit has a horizontal deflection coil and an S-shape capacitor connected in series with the horizontal deflector coil for supplying a horizontal deflection current to the horizontal deflector coil and the S-shape capacitor in accordance with a horizontal drive pulse. The horizontal sawtooth wave current generation circuit supplies a horizontal sawtooth wave current to the S-shape capacitor in a direction opposite to the horizontal deflection current and has a power voltage thereof controlled so that a difference current between the horizontal deflection current and the horizontal sawtooth wave current flowing in the S-shape capacitor has an amplitude proportional to a horizontal deflection frequency raised to a power N, where N has a value greater than 1, thereby enabling continuous S-shape correction independent of changes in the horizontal deflection frequency. A display apparatus utilizing the horizontal deflection circuit provides for S-shape correction with a maximum linearity error at a constant value of less than 5%.

    摘要: A digital video display system which includes a digital data output unit, such as a computer system, and a display unit coupled to receive digital data from the digital data output unit. In order to reduce the amount of data transferred on a signal line connecting the digital data output unit and the display unit, the digital data is transferred as a video drawing command. After the display unit receives this video drawing command, a drawing processing circuit within the display unit generates digital video data and a synchronizing signal based on the video drawing command. This digital video data is then stored, and subsequently converted to an analog video signal for display. Alternative embodiments are also provided which include audio processing, arrangements for simultaneously displaying multiple pictures, and arrangements for compression and decompression of the video data.
