Abstract: A refrigerator and a control method for the same are disclosed. The refrigerator includes a storage compartment formed in a cabinet of the refrigerator by a fixed insulation wall, the storage compartment being provided with an access opening, a door rotatably provided to the cabinet to open and close the access opening, a drawer provided in the storage compartment, a camera fixed to a ceiling of the storage compartment to photograph both a region (a first region) for storing of food arranged in an external space of the drawer in the storage compartment and a region (a second region) for storing of food arranged in an internal space of the drawer in the storage compartment, and a controller to separate, through a capturing time of a picture containing both the first region and the second region, a portion for the first region (a first region picture) and a portion for the second region (a second region picture) from the picture to individually divide and store the first region picture and the second region picture.

Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and method for controlling auto focus of a camera module including a voice coil motor actuator. The present invention includes a fixed unit having a perforated hole formed therein, a magnet placed inside the fixed unit, a lens unit including at least one lens and configured to linearly move inside the perforated hole of the fixed unit, an Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) coil placed between the fixed unit and the lens unit to correct destabilization of the lens unit, a moving coil placed on a surface of the lens unit, a fixed coil receiving from the moving coil, a variable current or a variable voltage according to a distance moved by the moving coil, an image signal processing unit processing an image signal sensed by the sensing unit, and a controller configured to provide a signal comprising first frequency signal and second frequency signal to the moving coil, wherein the fixed coil receiving the variable current or the variable voltage through the second frequency signal, calculate a focus position value based on the received variable current or the variable voltage according to a distance moved by the moving coil from the fixed coil and the image signal processed by the image signal processing unit, and control the lens unit to move by applying first frequency signal to the moving coil according to the calculated focus position value, wherein the controller is further configured to receive the second frequency signal only during a specific time slot in order for the second frequency signal to not include noise due to OIS signal and apply the OIS signal to the OIS coil during the rest of a time slot of the second frequency signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling auto focus of a camera module including a voice coil motor actuator. The camera module includes a sensing unit configured to sense a movement of the lens unit and a controller configured to control the movement of the lens unit based on a sensing signal sensed by the sensing unit. If an initial operation command is received, the controller moves the lens unit to an end point of a maximum movement range. If the lens unit is positioned at the end point of the maximum movement range, the controller compares the sensing signal sensed by the sensing unit with a predetermined reference signal to calculate a compensation value for an error. If a focus operation command is received, the controller can move the lens unit to a focus position based on the calculated compensation value and compensate for the focus position of the lens unit.
