The multiplication factor of angle of the sine detecting coil, the cosine detecting coil, and the exciting coil is different from the multiplication factor of angle of the sine exciting coil, the cosine exciting coil, and the detecting coil.

    摘要: A linear and curvilinear encoder is provided in which absolute mechanical position and high resolution position determination can be obtained using a cart having a mover with “hybrid” teeth, configured in a curvilinear profile or shape, moving along a curvilinear track with a stator having teeth. The absolute mechanical position and high resolution position determination can be detected on the track by applying an excitation signal to a coil surrounding particular teeth of the stator to produce an electromagnetic (EM) field which can be influenced by the profile or shape of the teeth of the mover. A resulting pick-up signal can then be detected in a pick-up coil surrounding particular teeth of the stator with different harmonics in the pick-up signal corresponding to harmonics of the profile or shape of the teeth.

    摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, a sensor-less detection circuit is provided that includes a first voltage adjustment circuit coupled for receiving an induced voltage and a second voltage adjustment circuit coupled for receiving a common voltage. A differential amplifier has an inverting input terminal coupled to the first voltage adjustment circuit and a noninverting input terminal coupled to the second voltage adjustment circuit. In accordance with another embodiment, a method for detecting a motor rotor position is provided that includes receiving a first back electromotive force that is at a first voltage level and shifting the first back electromotive force from the first voltage level to a second voltage level. The first back electromotive force is filtered to generate a first filtered voltage; and a first motor rotor position signal is generated in response to comparing the first filtered voltage with a reference voltage.

The resolver rotor (75) includes a resolver rotor core (81) received in a space surrounded by the resolver stator teeth (73) and capable of rotating around a shaft axis. The resolver stator windings (75) includes first output windings wound around each of the resolver stator teeth (73) by a first number of turns, second output windings wound around each of the resolver stator teeth by a second number of turns, and exciting windings wound around each resolver stator teeth by a third number of turns.
