Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method of controlling therefore are disclosed. The mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a housing, a display, a sensing unit configured to sense whether a cover is opened on the display in a state that the cover where an opening part is formed to make at least a part of the display to be exposed is installed in the housing, and a controller. If closing of the cover is detected in the middle of executing the first application, the controller controls the display to change a display state of an execution screen of the first application to make the display state of the execution screen of the first application correspond to a position and a size of the opening part of the cover.
