    摘要: A handheld electronic device, such as a mobile terminal, a personal digital assistant, an ultraportable computer and/or a media player, includes a touch sensor, such as a sensor used for fingerprint sensing. A control circuit of the device is configured to support user operation of the handheld electronic device as a musical instrument that uses the touch sensor as a control input of the musical instrument. For example, the control circuit may be configured to dynamically alter an audio signal produced by the musical instrument responsive to contact with the touch sensor, e.g., to control a tone and/or a volume of the audio signal. For example, the control circuit may be configured to cause the handheld electronic device to emulate a stringed instrument wherein contact with the touch sensor corresponds to contact with the strings of the emulated stringed instrument.

    摘要: An image processing system identifies desired views of a particular subject and triggers a mobile camera device in proximity to the subject to capture a digital image, thus collecting new image data to augment an existing database. In an exemplary method, location data for a camera-equipped mobile communication device in visual proximity to a subject of interest is received at an image collection server. Upon determining whether the location data corresponds to a desired view of the subject of interest, the image collection server sends an image capture request to the mobile device, triggering the user of the device to capture an image of the subject. Finally, digital image data is received from the mobile communication device in response to the image capture request. The digital image data may then be used for assembling a composite representation of the subject of interest, such as a 3D model of the subject.

    摘要: A system and method of redistributing power output by a portable mobile communications device while operating in dual transfer mode (DTM) is disclosed. The device determines if more than one uplink slot is active and if DTM is active. If so, power can be separately regulated for packet switched and carrier switched uplink slots. The device determines whether the circuit switched slot is being used for a voice call that is not in a handsfree or speakerphone mode and evaluates factors associated with the current operating conditions. New power settings are calculated based on the mode for the active circuit switched slot and the factors associated with the current operating conditions of the device. The new power settings are then applied to the active uplink slots such that power is re-distributed on a per slot basis that is not necessarily divided equally among all active slots.

    摘要: Presented is a method of displaying a newly requested channel in a mobile TV device prior to retuning the mobile TV device to the newly selected channel. The mobile TV device demodulator and tuner are cycled on for a short period of time at regular intervals to conserve battery power. Data is buffered from multiple channels in a buffer within the mobile TV device while the demodulator is cycled on. The mobile TV device displays data from one of the buffered channels upon a request to switch to the channel prior to retuning the mobile TV device to the newly selected channel. The mobile TV device is then retuned to the newly selected channel at the next instance the demodulator and tuner are cycled on.
