    Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an improved impact tool in which a biasing member is not affected by dust.An impact tool according to the invention has a driving mechanism 120 for driving a tool bit 119, housing parts 105, 106 that form a housing space 105a in which at least part of the driving mechanism 120 is disposed, and a switching member 160 for switching a drive mode of the impact tool. The switching member 160 has an operating member 161 that is operated by a user for mode switching, and a biasing member 175 that is disposed between the operating member 161 and the housing part 106 and biases the operating member 161 so as to hold the operating member 161 in a selected position. The biasing member 175 is disposed in the housing space 105a.

    Abstract: A rotary hammer selectively operates in multiple modes including a first mode and a second mode. The rotary hammer includes a switch, a motor, a switch manipulation member, a locking member, and a mode detecting device. The switch manipulation member includes a body, and a protrusion that is movable between a protruding position and a retracted position. The body houses a solenoid configured to operate based on a detection result of the mode detecting device. The locking member is movable between an unlock position and a lock position where the locking member holds the switch manipulation member in an ON position by abutting the protrusion in the protruding position. The protrusion is integrated with a plunger of the solenoid. The protrusion is configured to be in the protruding position when the present mode is the first mode, and in the retracted position when the present mode is the second mode.

    Abstract: A power tool includes a hammer mechanism, a brushless motor and a cooling fan. The brushless motor includes a rotary member having a motor shaft operably coupled to the hammer mechanism for linearly driving a tool accessory. The cooling fan has a first blade part and is configured to be rotated by the rotary member. The cooling fan includes a polymer portion, which forms at least a portion of the first blade part, and a metal portion disposed in or on the polymer portion. When viewed in a direction parallel to a rotational axis of the cooling fan, the metal member at least partially overlaps the first blade part in a radial direction of the cooling fan.
