Abstract: A vehicle system comprises an engine, a motor-generator and a controller. The engine has a combustion mode in which a part of an air-fuel mixture is combusted by spark ignition, and then the remaining air-fuel mixture is combusted by self-ignition. The controller sets a target additional deceleration based on a steering angle, when a steering wheel is turned, and sets an air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture to either one of a first air-fuel ratio and a second air-fuel ratio which is on a lean side, based on an operating state, when the engine performs the combustion mode. The controller controls an ignition timing so as to generate the target additional deceleration in the first air-fuel ratio, and controls a regenerative electric power generation of the motor-generator so as to generate the target additional deceleration in the second air-fuel ratio.

Abstract: Disclosed is a vehicle control method which comprises the steps of: determining whether or not a squat of a rear end of a vehicle body is equal to or greater than a given level; determining whether or not turning manipulation of a steering device has been made; and, when the turning manipulation of the steering device is determined to have been made, controlling each part of an engine (4) to reduce an output torque of the engine (4), wherein, in response to the determination that the turning manipulation of the steering device has been made, a reduction amount of the output torque of the engine is increased when the squat of the rear end of the vehicle body is equal to or greater than the given level, as compared to when the squat is less than the given level.

Abstract: A powertrain system for an electric automobile outputs a desired torque from a motor with an angle of an accelerator pedal that is easy for a driver to operate, regardless of traveling environments such as the road surface gradient and the wind direction. The powertrain system includes a paddle switch and a shifter that are mounted to be operable by a driver, and are electrically connected directly or indirectly to an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU controls, based on a torque control map defining the relationship between an accelerator pedal opening and output torque of a motor in advance, the output torque of the motor according to the accelerator pedal opening, and changes, based on an operation on the paddle switch or the shifter, the torque control map to be used for controlling the output torque of the motor.

Abstract: Provided is a vehicle control system capable of controlling the behavior of a vehicle, in conformity to a tire longitudinal spring constant, to improve responsivity and linear feeling of the vehicle behavior with respect to a steering manipulation. The PCM is configured to set, based on a detection value of the steering angle sensor, an additional deceleration to be added to a vehicle (1), and control the vehicle to generate the set additional deceleration in the vehicle, wherein the additional deceleration is set to be larger when a tire longitudinal spring constant (Kt) of each road wheel of the vehicle is relatively small than when it is not relatively small.

Abstract: A control system for a vehicle is provided, which includes an accelerator pedal and a steering wheel configured to be operated by a driver, an accelerator opening sensor configured to detect an accelerator opening corresponding to operation of the accelerator pedal, a steering angle sensor configured to detect a steering angle corresponding to operation of the steering wheel, and a controller configured to set an additional deceleration to be applied to the vehicle in order to control a posture of the vehicle based on the detected steering angle, when the steering wheel is turned, and apply the additional deceleration to the vehicle. The controller sets the additional deceleration based on the detected accelerator opening, in addition to the steering angle, and sets the additional deceleration larger while the vehicle is towing than while the vehicle is not towing, when the additional decelerations are compared at the same accelerator opening.

The controller (8) performs the driving force reduction control using the first steering angle sensor (14) when a yaw rate or a steering speed is equal to or greater than a given value, and performs the driving force reduction control using the second steering angle sensor (19) when the yaw rate or the steering speed is less than the given value.

Abstract: An engine control device is provided, that includes an air amount controller, an ignition timing controller, a basic target torque determinator which determines a basic target torque, a change rate acquirer for acquiring a change rate of a steering operation, a target additional deceleration setter for increasing a target additional deceleration while an increase rate thereof becomes less as the change rate increases, a torque reduction amount determinator for determining an engine torque reduction amount, a final target torque determinator for determining a final target torque, and an actual air amount estimator for estimating an actual air amount introduced into a combustion chamber. The air amount controller determines a target air amount and controls the intake air amount to achieve the target air amount. The ignition timing controller retards the ignition timing more as the actual air amount becomes more excessive with respect to the target amount.
