摘要： A system is disclosed for use in connection with a conventional Otto or four cycle, multi-cylinder, internal combustion engine with the system being adapted to selectively disable half of the operating cylinders of the engine whereby substantial fuel economies can be realized. The present system is adapted to be used as an attachment on a conventional automotive engine and is equally applicable to four, six, and eight cylinder engines. The system disables selected cylinders by both inhibiting flow of fuel to the cylinder and disabling the exhaust valve in an open condition so that the disabled cylinder will, in effect, be free wheeling in that it does not use fuel or produce unused compression which must be overcome by the remaining cylinders.

摘要： A cabinet type enclosure, preferably in the form of a cart, which is adapted to be connected to a source of refrigeration for refrigerating a plurality of food items on a plurality of meal trays positioned in the enclosure has a plurality of thin, generally horizontal fixedly mounted heater shelf members extending into the enclosed space from one side wall thereof. The heater shelf members are adapted to be moved relative to and under hot food containers positioned on the trays to heat same. The enclosure also has pairs of tray guides on its opposing side walls. The meal trays have integral transverse abutment means which extend over a portion of the tray surface at a location above the surface. The transverse abutments cooperate with a container for hot food placed on the tray between the abutment means for preventing movement of the hot food container past the transverse abutment means by frictional contact with the heater shelf as the tray is moved into or out of the enclosure and relative to the heater shelf along the tray guides. The heater shelf members are positioned so that they will pass between the tray surface and the bottom of the abutment means. A ramp-like end on the heater shelf will engage and lift the chamfered bottom of a container to be heated so that the container will be gently lifted upwardly onto the heater shelf as the tray is moved to a position overlying a heating element on the heater shelf. The apparatus is particularly useful for inflight feeding as well as for institutional feeding.

摘要： A cap for a fluid container that includes an outer member and an inner member is provided. The outer member has an inner surface that has at least one finger projecting away therefrom. The inner member is located within the outer member and may rotate relative to the outer members. The inner member also has a recess that has a plurality of ratchet teeth to engage the at least one finger of the outer member. Each ratchet tooth has a torque limiting surface against which the at least one finger is capable of transmitting torque up to a threshold and against which the at least one finger is capable of slipping when the threshold is exceeded. The inner member rotates relative to the outer member when the at least one finger slips against the torque limiting surface.

A plate is movably attached to the base and includes oppositely facing upper and lower surfaces, an elongated slot therethrough, an elevated portion proximate each side of the slot, and a distal second end with the elevated portion leading to an arcuate surface. A carrier includes a top flange having a pair of oppositely extending sides and a foot extending from the top flange. The foot is slidably received within the slot, and a portion of the pair of oppositely extending sides are arcuate in shape and slidably received within the arcuate surface of the elevated portion. A blade is attached to the carrier, a portion of which extends below the lower surface of the plate within the channel when the plate is disposed over the cutting region.

The cutting unit includes a frame, a blade adjustment assembly and a blade assembly are coupled to the frame. The blade assembly is positioned at least partially within the frame such that a longitudinal axis of the blade assembly is substantially perpendicular to a lower support surface of the frame. The blade assembly includes a blade retainer and a blade connected to the retainer. A rigid collar of the retainer is configured to operatively engage at least one of a periphery and the edge of an opening of the template thereby enabling the blade to cut a shape in the cutting material which assimilates the shape of at least a portion of the at least one of the periphery and the edge.
