摘要： To automatically generate translation templates containing variables which can be replaced with various words or phrases from a bilingual pair of sentences, the machine translation system reads the first language sentence and second language sentence which are mutually equivalent, analyzes the morphemes and phrases of the sentences, identifies the word correspondence between the first language sentence and the second language sentence with reference to the bilingual dictionary, generates a translation template by replacing the corresponding words of the first language sentence and second language sentence with variables which are mutually correspondent, extracts the phrase correspondence between the first language sentence and the second language sentence, generates a generalized template wherein the corresponding phrases are replaced with variables, and generates a partial template wherein the corresponding phrases are separated. By doing this, a translation template can be learned (automatically generated) from bilingual pair of sentences, and high quality translation can be obtained.

The generating portion samples data of each level of hierarchical data to extract an amount possible to present, and converts the data format.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for extracting text information for use with a computer system including an input unit, an output unit, and a storage is described. The storage is loaded with documents, abstracts thereof, and relational information indicating relationships between a sentence of the abstracts and sentences of the documents. In response to a selection instruction from the input unit, a sentence is selected from the abstracts such that the documents are accessed so as to extract therefrom, based on the relational information, sentences associated with the selected abstract sentence. Information related to the associated sentences thus extracted is outputted to the output unit. According to the method and the apparatus, text information such as important portions of a document and a list of words appearing in the important portions can be easily obtained by use of the abstracts.

摘要： It is an object to highly accurately perform semantic relationship extraction from text data by performing supervised learning of multiple classes using an existing thesaurus as a correct answer. Concerning any pair of words in a text, a plurality of kinds of similarities are calculated and a feature vector including the similarities as elements is generated. A label indicating a classification of a semantic relationship is given to pairs of words on the basis of the thesaurus. Data for semantic relationship identification is learned as an identification problem of multiple classes from the feature vector and the label. Identification of an inter-semantic relationship of two words is performed according to the data for semantic relationship identification.
