    摘要: In a user profiler used for program recommendation, a user profile which differs particularly according to the season is extracted, saved and appropriately re-used. For this purpose, there are provided a user profiler which extracts user profiles based on program information and a user's view history, and a profile memory which incrementally saves the profiles in a time series based on time information acquired from a timer in the user profiles. The profile memory generates and saves total profile information which is obtained by summing the profiles to be saved for predetermined periods. A total profile memory is also provided which saves the total profile information for these periods when a fixed time has elapsed, and the total profile information which was saved by the total profile memory is re-saved by the profile memory at a certain specified time.

    摘要: A pre-edit support method for a machine translation system has an improved accuracy of parsing and an improved efficiency of pre-edit support. In a machine translation system translating a source language into a target language, a source language text is read and divided into words. Word sequences occurring a plurality of times are extracted, of the extracted word sequences the word sequences having a high occurrence frequency or a large number/high ratio of words with multiple parts of speech, are extracted as complex word candidates and displayed to a user, of the complex word candidates the complex word candidates the user designates are used as complex words to be translated integrally, and pre-edit symbols are added to the integral complex words as translation support information.

The generating portion samples data of each level of hierarchical data to extract an amount possible to present, and converts the data format.

    摘要: To automatically generate translation templates containing variables which can be replaced with various words or phrases from a bilingual pair of sentences, the machine translation system reads the first language sentence and second language sentence which are mutually equivalent, analyzes the morphemes and phrases of the sentences, identifies the word correspondence between the first language sentence and the second language sentence with reference to the bilingual dictionary, generates a translation template by replacing the corresponding words of the first language sentence and second language sentence with variables which are mutually correspondent, extracts the phrase correspondence between the first language sentence and the second language sentence, generates a generalized template wherein the corresponding phrases are replaced with variables, and generates a partial template wherein the corresponding phrases are separated. By doing this, a translation template can be learned (automatically generated) from bilingual pair of sentences, and high quality translation can be obtained.
