摘要： A carbonator tank in a post-mix beverage dispenser is provided with an electrically powered circulating pump. The pump is mounted in an opening in the bottom of the tank and includes a flow-through channel for dispensing carbonated liquid from the tank through the housing of the pump. The tank includes a cooling coil for forming an ice bank around the interior walls. The heat generated by the pump motor precludes the freezing of the carbonated water in the flow-through channel.

摘要： An assembly, especially for a beverage-vending machine with a container for the storing, cooling and carbonating of water including two measuring electrodes arranged in the container at differing horizontal and vertical distances from an electrically conductive inner wall of the container connected to ground, one of these in the area of the ice layer under formation. The measuring electrodes obtain resistance values for the ice and/or water that arise between the electrode and the inner wall of the container. In order to cool the water independently from its physical-chemical composition, potentials corresponding to the resistances are derived and are supplied to a differential amplifier. Depending on a size comparison of the two resistance values, a cooling apparatus that affects the contents of the container is switched on or off.

摘要： A waste disposal device includes a receptacle for holding liquid and waste materials, a liquid drainline secured to the receptacle, a collecting tank connected in the drainline to collect the liquid and waste materials from the receptacle, a waste disintegrator extending into the collecting tank, drive means for operating the waste disintegrator, and control means in the drainline for actuating the drive means upon collection of liquid over a given level in the collecting tank and upon the flow of the liquid out of the tank through the drainline. The waste disintegrator is a rotatable impact knife, the drive means is a motor coupled to the knife, and the control means includes a siphon tube directing the flow of the liquid over a given level out of the tank, and pressure sensitive switching means for sensing a change in pressure in the siphon tube upon the occurrence of the flow of liquid to actuate the motor.

摘要： A drive system for side-by-side piston pumps connected to beverage concentrate containers in a post-mix beverage dispenser system is described. An electric motor rotates a drive shaft in either a forward or reverse direction for the selective actuation of one or the other of the piston pumps. First and second hollow shafts are concentrically disposed around the drive shaft, one hollow shaft being mechanically coupled through a cam and lever arrangement to each of the piston pumps. Free-wheeling clutches are provided between the drive shaft and each of the respective hollow shafts such that one hollow shaft is coupled to rotate with the drive shaft in the forward direction of rotation of the drive shaft and the other hollow shaft is coupled to rotate with the drive shaft in the reverse direction of rotation of the drive shaft.
