    摘要: In order to more efficiently form a pilaster, a pilaster form is disclosed which includes a first side unit and a second side unit together with a filler which is adapted to be interconnected with the first and second side units. The first side unit is adapted for interconnection with a first section of a wall form in order to form a first side of a pilaster. The filler is adapted for interconnection with the first and second side units of the pilaster form to form an outwardly facing surface of the pilaster. The second side unit is adapted for interconnection with a second section of the wall form in order to form a second side of the pilaster. With this arrangement, the filler is releasably secured to the first and second side units at any one of a plurality of positions in relation to the wall form to permit the forming of the pilaster in a plurality of depths relative to the concrete wall.

    摘要: An imaging method creates a two-dimensional image of a voltage distribution or a capacitance distribution of a substrate under test using an electro-optic modulator. A coarse modulator calibration determines the effect of non-uniformities in the modulator and determines a look-up table relating the gap distance between the modulator and the substrate to the intensity of the light emerging from the modulator. A positioning means calibration determines a look-up table relating control voltage to response by the positioning means. The modulator is moved over a portion of the substrate and then undergoes a positioning step, a fine onsite calibrating step, and a measuring step. The positioning step can be accomplished using the intensity of emerging light to determine modulator gap distance, and the response verses control voltage look-up table to determine a control signal to vertically position the modulator. The look-up tables permit the modulator to be position substantially parallel to the substrate at a desired gap distance using one step positioning.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for producing fine cobalt metal powder. The method involves digesting a cobaltic ammine halide in an aqueous solution with a mineral acid at a temperature of at least about 110.degree. C. for a sufficient time to decompose the cobaltic ammine halide to form an amorphous hydrated cobalt oxide containing precipitate. The digestion step is carried out at a suitable pressure in a sufficiently closed vessel to permit the temperature to be attained in the solution. The aqueous solution of the cobaltic ammine halide contains from about 5 grams of cobalt per liter up to the limits of solubility of the cobaltic ammine halide. The mineral acid is present in an amount sufficient to result in the subsequent cobalt metal powder having a Fisher Subsieve Size of no greater than about 2.1. The cobalt containing precipitate is separated from the resulting solution and reduced to form the fine cobalt powder.
