摘要： A photoreceptor for an image formation apparatus has a photosensitive layer of a multi-layer structure each having the characteristic of increasing its electrical resistance at a different rate upon expose to light. An image-carrying beam of reflected light from an original to be copied is made incident on the photoreceptor to form a resistance image. An electrostatic latent image is formed therefrom either on the photoreceptor itself or on a transfer medium placed in contact therewith and a visible toner image is formed by applying toner on such an electrostatic image but the resistance image on the photoreceptor remains undisturbed during such image transfer processes. Thus, a plurality of copies of a single original can be produced without exposing the photoreceptor to reflected light therefrom for each copy to be printed.

摘要： A system for performing the desired transaction when the customer follows a specified procedure comprising a sequence of steps includes an electronic visual display unit for displaying a message and a graphic illustration at the same time, and a plurality of functionally operative physically manipulative function units arranged around the display unit. The physical operations are performed by the customer in a sequence of steps, and some of the function units serve different functions for different steps. The display unit displays stepwise, immediately before each of the steps is performed by the customer, an instruction comprising the combination of a procedure specifying textual message describing the procedure to be followed by the customer and a procedure specifying graphic illustration pictorially depicting the physical enactment of the procedure in corresponding relation to the message. In a step in which a function button is to be operated by the customer, the display unit also shows a term indicating the function of the button at a location adjacent and corresponding to the button to be operated and a button frame surrounding the term at least at two sides thereof to indicate the location of the button corresponding to the term.

摘要： An image forming apparatus such as a copier of the type using a light and pressure sensitive material to form a visible image by exposing photosensitive microcapsules to image forming light to thereby form an invisible pattern of selectively hardened microcapsules and pressing these microcapsules against a transfer sheet superposed thereon to rupture the microcapulses according to the pattern to effect chromogenic reactions selectively, is provided with a supplemental light source for exposing areas of the material not intended for forming an image such that unnecessary microcapsules in these areas do not cause stains on components of the apparatus.

摘要： An electric photographical copying system which provides a main charger for charging the photo-conductive layer of the recording medium, an optical exposure means for projecting an image of an original onto the photo-conductive layer to make an electrostatic latent image thereon, a developing device for developing the latent image with developer, a transfer device for transferring the image developed onto a copy sheet, a cleaning device for cleaning residual developer on the photo-conductive layer and an erasing device for erasing the surface potential of the photo-conductive layer.
