    摘要： The invention is directed to a drive mechanism for a kitchen appliance with a drive motor (4), in which a variable-speed transmission (5) provides with an output shaft (14) a tool output for the coupling of tools adapted to be driven by the tool output at two different speeds of rotation at a given motor speed. The output shaft (14) of the variable-speed transmission (5) is axially displaceable and is movable by axial displacement from a first position in which it is coupled to a first gear wheel (18), into a second position in which it is disengaged from the first gear wheel (18), being instead coupled to a second gear wheel (17) or to the motor shaft (25).

    摘要： A bell-shaped shield for use on a household appliance, particularly a hand blender or a hand mixer has an inner wall that forms a space which is accessible from below via an opening through which food is supplied and discharged. A blade-like processing tool inside the space is adapted to be set in rotation by a drive shaft so that the food is caught, comminuted and/or mixed by said tool. The surface of the inner wall has on its circumference individual outwardly extending wall sections for the formation of clearance spaces, said wall sections serving primarily for the diversion, comminution and enhanced mixing of food, while the clearance spaces are used for receiving and discharging the food. This configuration allows for a more intensive and thorough mixing and comminution of food in a minimum of time.

    摘要： A housing of a hand-held blender includes a wall fabricated from a first plastic material having at least one outer surface. The housing is further provided in at least one area with at least one second plastic material whose hardness is lower than the hardness of the first plastic material. The second plastic material is molded onto the inner surface of the wall by injection molding, such that a first area of the at least one area projects from the inner surface of the wall at least in individual sections, forming bearing areas. These bearing areas serve as supports for drive, control and switching devices. With this arrangement, the housing affords particular ease of manufacture while at the same time performing a damping function, improving the manipulation and reducing the noise level of a hand-held mixer while in operation.
