    Abstract: A battery cell includes an electrode assembly and a packaging bag, where the electrode assembly includes a tab, the packaging bag is configured to accommodate the electrode assembly, a sealing zone is formed on a periphery of the packaging bag, one end of the tab is electrically connected to a body of the electrode assembly, and an other end of the tab protrudes out of the sealing zone; the sealing zone is provided with a weak zone, and in a predetermined temperature range, a packaging tension of the weak zone in the packaging bag reduces to release gas inside the battery cell to the outside of the battery cell.

    Abstract: The present application relates to a cathode, an electrochemical device and an electronic device including the same. The cathode includes: a cathode current collector, a first cathode active material layer, a second cathode active material layer and an insulating layer; where the first cathode active material layer covers a first portion of a first surface of the cathode current collector, and the insulating layer covers a second portion of the first surface of the cathode current collector that is different from the first portion, where a first distance exists between the insulating layer and the first cathode active material layer in a longitudinal direction of the cathode current collector. By providing a gap between the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer in the cathode, the potential problem of the overlapping of the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer on the cathode is alleviated, thereby ensuring that the electrochemical device cannot catch fire and lead to failure in the event of being punctured, and further ensuring the mechanical safety performance of the electrochemical device.

    Abstract: The present application provides an electrode and a lithium-ion battery. The electrode comprises: a current collector; a first active material layer comprising a first active material; and a second active material layer comprising a second active material; wherein the first active material layer is arranged between the current collector and the second active material layer. The first active material layer is formed on at least one surface of the current collector, and a ratio of an average particle size of the second active material to an average particle size of the first active material is from 1:1 to 40:1. The active material layer is used in the present application to ensure that the lithium-ion battery does not generate a short circuit when pressed by an external force, thereby ensuring the mechanical safety performance of the lithium-ion battery.

    Abstract: The present application provides an electrode and an electrochemical device comprising the electrode. The electrode comprises a current collector; and an inorganic layer arranged on a surface of the current collector, wherein the inorganic layer comprises a metal oxide and does not comprise a polymer. The electrode of the lithium ion battery provided by the present application has little influence on the volume energy density of the lithium ion battery while improving the safety performance of the lithium ion battery.
