    Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a cathode current collector, a first cathode active material layer, a second cathode active material layer and an insulating layer. The first cathode active material layer covers a first portion of a first surface of the cathode current collector, and the insulating layer covers a second portion of the first surface of the cathode current collector that is different from the first portion. A first distance exists between the insulating layer and the first cathode active material layer in a longitudinal direction of the cathode current collector. By providing a gap between the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer in the cathode, thereby ensuring the mechanical safety performance of the electrochemical device.

    Abstract: The present application relates to a cathode, an electrochemical device and an electronic device comprising the same. The cathode comprises: a cathode current collector; a first cathode active material layer, comprising a first cathode active material; and a second cathode active material layer, comprising a second cathode active material, wherein the first cathode active material layer is disposed between the cathode current collector and the second cathode active material layer, and the first cathode active material layer is formed on at least one surface of the cathode current collector; and wherein the second cathode active material is embedded in the first cathode active material layer and forms a continuous transition layer with the first cathode active material at an interface between the first cathode active material layer and the second cathode active material layer. The technique of firstly coating two active material layers and then performing cold pressing together is adopted to lower the probability of separation of the first cathode active material layer and the second cathode active material layer, thereby enhancing the safety performance of the electrochemical device.

    Abstract: The present application provides an electrode and an electrochemical device comprising the electrode. The electrode comprises a current collector; and an inorganic layer arranged on a surface of the current collector, wherein the inorganic layer comprises a metal oxide and does not comprise a polymer. The electrode of the lithium ion battery provided by the present application has little influence on the volume energy density of the lithium ion battery while improving the safety performance of the lithium ion battery.

    Abstract: The present application provides a positive electrode and a lithium-ion battery. The positive electrode comprises a current collector; a first active material layer comprising a first active material; and a second active material layer; wherein the first active material layer is arranged between the current collector and the second active material layer, the first active material layer comprises a first active material, and the first active material is at least one selected from a group consisting of a modified lithium transition metal oxide positive electrode material and a modified lithium iron phosphate. The positive electrode of the present application helps to improve the thermal stability of the lithium-ion battery, and the improvement of the thermal stability may reduce the proportion of the thermal runaway when the lithium-ion battery is internally short-circuited so that the safety performance of the lithium-ion battery is improved.
