摘要: Apparatus and methods for wireless systems provide a mechanism to enhance the communication capabilities of wireless users. In an embodiment, a system includes a wireless server communicatively operable with a set of mobile wireless clients, where the wireless server has a share agent configured to control dissemination of information from a database on a shared basis responsive to a determination of a privacy state of the information. In an embodiment, a mobile wireless device has an integrated management system operable with a controller. The management system is configured to manage the mobile wireless device operable as a multiple-mode wireless client to each wireless server of a set of wireless servers such that information may be shared among the mobile wireless device and the set of wireless servers.

摘要: Under one aspect, an elastically extensible cohesive article having first and second oppositely-facing major exterior surfaces includes a foam layer, and a cohesive composition coating at least a portion of each of the first and second major surfaces. The article may include a second layer, e.g., an elastic layer, an elastic fabric, a woven fabric, a knitted fabric, a non-woven fabric, or a second foam layer, juxtaposed with and secured to at least a portion of the foam layer. The foam layer may have a plurality of open cells that define at least a portion of one of the major exterior surfaces of the article. The open cells may act as “suction cups” that enhance the cohesive properties of the article, for example if the article is wrapped around a body part. The article may also include a pad that can be applied to a wound.

摘要: A cervical immobilizing device includes a pair of arms that can be folded to an upright position to engage and support a patient's head, an actuating device for folding the arms to the supporting position, and a locking device for locking the position of the arms in the folded supporting position. The actuating device is coupled to the outer ends of the arms for folding the arms to an upright position symmetrically and uniformly. In one embodiment, the actuator device is flexible member that passes around a guide to a position which can be gripped by the user. The locking device can be a cinching, ratcheting or clamping device, or a combination thereof, on the actuator device. In one embodiment, the folding arms include a coupling device for coupling the arms to a base in a sliding arrangement to enable the arms to slide along the base to a folded position. A blank is also disclosed that can be folded to form the cervical immobilizing device.

摘要: A toothbrush holder adapter is provided which consists of an integral, unitary component with a toothbrush receiving section and a rear section adapted to be inserted into the holes or openings in a wall-mounted toothbrush holder. The receiving section of the member comprises dual side members forming a tapered opening into which a toothbrush is inserted and retained below its brush head. The dual side members merge to form the rear section, an extension portion which is insertable into an opening in the holder. The adapter is entirely coated with rubberized or plastic-type coating to assist in gripping the surfaces of the holder and the toothbrush handle, and in maintaining the adapter securely in the holder when a toothbrush is positioned in it. In an alternate configuration the extension portion of the adapter can be secured to a suction cup, in order to allow the adapter to support a toothbrush on a substantially vertical surface, such as a mirror or tile wall.

摘要: The invention provides for the automation of a multiple camera system based upon the location of a target object in a displayed camera image. The preferred system provides a nearly continuous display of a figure as the figure moves about throughout multiple cameras' potential fields of view. When the figure approaches the bounds of a selected camera's field of view, the system determines which other camera's potential field of view contains the figure, and adjusts that other camera's actual field of view to contain the figure. When the figure is at the bounds of the selected camera's field of view, the system automatically selects the other camera. The system also contains predictive location determination algorithms. By assessing the movement of the figure, the system selects and adjusts the next camera based upon the predicted subsequent location of the figure.
