摘要: In a shielded connector adapted to be directly attached to an apparatus, contact pieces bendingly project from a metal shell which is attached to a connector housing and surrounds a terminal housing portion. An elastic contact portion is disposed in each of the contact pieces. When a flange of the connector housing is attached to an electric apparatus, the elastic contact portion is compressively deformed in an elastic deformation amount range so as to be pressingly contacted with an electrically conductive casing of the electric apparatus, whereby the contact pressure between the contact pieces and the casing is held.

摘要: The waterproof structure for a charging connector includes a body cover for opening and closing the opening of a recessed portion formed in a vehicle body, and also includes a waterproof cap for covering a charging connector arranged to project from the bottom surface of the recessed portion. The waterproof cap is journalled openably and closably near a connecting opening formed in the charging connector, and a cam surface is provided around the axis of the journalled portion of the waterproof cap. The waterproof cap can be switchingly moved in its opening and closing directions by an elastic member contactably disposed with the cam surface. When the body cover is closed, then the waterproof cap is pushed by the body cover, thereby closing the connecting opening of the charging connector.

摘要: A male terminal comprises an electrical contact portion and an insulating member made of insulating material. The electrical contact portion is inserted into and connected to a female terminal. The insulating member includes a to-be-received portion accommodated in the electrical contact portion and a to-be-exposed portion. The electrical contact portion includes a bottom wall upon which the to-be-received portion is disposed, and a top wall. The to-be-received portion is positioned between the bottom wall and the top wall having a securing engagement portion brought into engagement with the to-be-received portion. The male terminal is made by placing the to-be-received portion upon the bottom wall while the bottom wall, the top wall, and the securing engagement portion are flush with each other, bending them such that the to-be-received portion resides between the top wall and the bottom wall, and bringing the securing engagement portion into engagement with the to-be-received portion.

The air purging unit serves to purge foreign substance such as dust or moisture applied. The air purging unit of the charging connector prevents moisture or foreign substance from intruding into the inside of the supplying connector to be coupled with the power receiving connector, and if intruded, permits them to be removed swiftly, thereby preventing troubles such as poor contact of terminal and short-circuiting.

摘要: In a charging connector for an electric vehicle for charging a power receiving connector coupled with a power supplying connector, the power supplying connector includes an outer housing to be coupled with said power receiving connector; an inner housing to be slidably mounted on the front half and housing a plurality of terminals; and an air cylinder mounted inside said outer housing inside the rear half of said outer housing and a piston connected to the rear end of said inner housing. Whereby the inner housing is driven toward said power receiving connector by the operation of said air cylinder so that said terminals are connected to corresponding terminals of said power receiving connector. In such a configuration, since the advancing drive of an inner housing in which terminals are housed is carried out using the air cylinder, a small number of components can be used and the piston has only to be connected to the rear end of the inner housing, thus simplifying the production cost and reducing the production cost.
