Abstract: Each secondary battery cell includes: an exterior can that has a rectangular outer shape having a thickness smaller than the width and has an open upper surface; a sealing plate for blocking the opening of the exterior can; a pair of electrode terminals disposed on the sealing plate; a conductive reversing plate that is disposed on the sealing plate, and becomes deformed when the internal pressure of secondary battery cell becomes a predetermined value or more; and connection plate that is disposed on the sealing plate and on the outer surface side of secondary battery cell, and, when the reversing plate becomes deformed, contacts and electrically connects to the reversing plate to block an external output. Fastening member is disposed on the upper surface of the cell stacked body so as to overlap the position at which the reversing plate is disposed on the upper surface of the sealing plate of each secondary battery cell.

Abstract: A rechargeable battery is provided with a pressure release valve and a current interruption mechanism. The current interruption mechanism includes a deformation plate. When the internal pressure of the case reaches an interruption activation pressure, the deformation plate receives the internal pressure and is deformed to break a conducting portion. In the current interruption mechanism, a pressure that is set for maintaining the sealing at the contact portion between the deformation plate and a negative electrode conductor is defined as a sealing portion withstanding pressure, and the pressure that is set for maintaining the shape of the case is defined as a case withstanding pressure. The pressure for activating the pressure release valve is defined as a valve activation pressure. In this case, the sealing portion withstanding pressure and the valve activation pressure are set higher than the interruption activation pressure and lower than the case withstanding pressure.

The pocket includes a safety valve which activates when the pocket expands. Holding member 10 includes an opening and a cavity fitting the housing section therein. When the housing section is fitted into the cavity, at least part of the pocket and the safety valve protrude to the outside of the holding member from the opening.

Abstract: A lithium battery module includes a sealed housing, a fixture and at least one soft-shell capacitor assembly. A one-way exhaust structure is disposed on the sealed housing. The fixture is accommodated in the sealed housing. The at least one soft-shell capacitor assembly is disposed on the fixture. Abstract: A battery pack has a sealed case. Battery modules are accommodated in the sealed case. An opening in the main body is closed by a rectangular plate-shaped lid member. The lid member has a releasing portion and a joint portion. When the internal pressure of the sealed case increases, the lid member is deformed away from an opening edge of the opening. This discharges gas from the sealed case through the releasing portion.
