Abstract:
The present invention addresses apparatuses, methods and computer program product for enabling support of legacy user equipment and legacy network elements in small cell system for LTE and beyond systems. Each small cell uses a unique pair of Physical Cell Identifier and E-UTRAN Cell Global Identifier {PCI, ECGI} in the small cell system. In a handover preparation phase, when an enhanced eNB initiates the handover request procedure, the source eNB includes the pair of {PCI, ECGI} in the handover request message. Upon the reception of the {PCI, ECGI} from the handover request message, the associated eNB determines the target small cell based on the received pair of {PCI, ECGI}.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods for controlling message transmissions in an integrated access and backhaul network. An example method may include: determining, by a donor central unit in an integrated access and backhaul network, at least one configuration for controlling a transmission of at least one radio resource control message from a node to a child node of the node in the integrated access and backhaul network: and transmitting, by the donor central unit the at least one configuration to the node. Related apparatuses and computer readable media are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable media for communication during inter-donor topology adaptation. A first device transmits, to a second device, first information about a first communication interface between the first device and a third device, receives, from the second device, an indication that context information associated with at least one fourth device and the first communication interface is retained, and uses the context information in communication via a second communication interface between the first device and the second device. The second device receive the first information, transmit, to the third device, a request for obtaining the context information, and receive the context information from the third device. In this way, reestablishment procedure can be simplified, and signaling over Xn interface, F1 interface and wireless backhaul can be minimized Further, latencies and service break for the terminal devices at the change of the IAB-donor can be reduced.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to mechanism for cell identity management. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a source device obtains identity information of a target device. The source device further obtains mapping from old cell ID to new cell ID for a migrating device and descendant devices of the migrating device. The mapping information receives from the target device or the migrating device. In this way, the device may be migrated to the target device without interrupting services of the terminal device which connects to the device.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for supporting local MBMS distribution are provided. One method includes receiving, by a broadcast multicast service center (BM-SC), an activate multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) bearer request message to initiate an activate multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) bearer request procedure. The activate MBMS bearer request message comprises at least one of information on local MBMS distribution received from a local MBMS entity (LME), or a destination area, or a destination area and an indication that preferred delivery is via local distribution. The method may further include determining whether local distribution path will be used based on at least one of information received in the activate MBMS bearer request message, or stored information about local MBMS entities.
Abstract:
The present invention addresses methods, apparatus and computer program product for enhanced network sharing with Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service. Thereby, a mechanism is provided that allows for the information relating to the different IDs used to be provided from a base station to a Multi-cell/multicast Coordination Entity so that the appropriate routing can be determined. The Multi-cell/multicast Coordination Entity may provide the Mobility Management Entity with this information so that control signaling can be properly distributed based on this information and the at least one MBMS SAI. According to the inven tion, a base station indicates one or more PLMN IDs for at least one MBMS SAI to the MCE.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for handling user equipment (UE) context for dual connectivity in, for example, enhanced small cell networks are provided. One method includes associating small cell identifiers that are assigned by an anchor evolved node B (eNB) with a unique cell identifier related to the anchor eNB, and reporting user equipment (UE) history information in dual connectivity mode to a target evolved node B (eNB). The UE history information comprises at least the unique cell identifier of the anchor eNB.
