An image processing apparatus and an image fine-tuning method are provided. The image processing apparatus includes a high-pass filter, a block comparator, an image data reconstructor, and a calculator. The high-pass filter receives a first image to generate a filtered image. The block comparator receives an input image and the first image to generate a block comparison result. The image data reconstructor receives the filtered image and the block comparison result to generate image reconstruction data. The calculator receives the input image and the image reconstruction data to generate an output image.

An image processing apparatus including an image processing circuit is provided. The image processing circuit is configured to perform a subpixel conversion operation on an input image of a first format to convert the input image of the first format to the input image of a second format; obtain a first detection result with respect to a target pixel of the input image of the first format; determine a filter parameter with respect to the target pixel according to the first detection result; and perform a subpixel rendering operation on the input image of the second format according to the determined filter parameter to obtain an output image.

A display system, an electronic apparatus and a display adjustment method thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus comprises a display panel, a timing controller circuit and a processing circuit. The timing controller circuit is coupled to the display panel. The timing controller circuit process frame data to be displayed by the display panel. The processing circuit is coupled to the timing controller circuit. The processing circuit analyzes an image including a face of a person to obtain adjustment information with respect to the light perceived by the face, so as to control the timing controller circuit to correspondingly adjust the frame data or at least one display characteristics associated with the frame data according to the adjustment information.

The invention provides an apparatus and a method for motion estimation. The motion estimation apparatus includes a candidate set generation circuit and a motion vector (MV) determination circuit. The candidate set generation circuit selects to add motion vectors of adjacent blocks into a motion vector candidate set of a current block of a current frame. The current block and one of the adjacent blocks belong to the same row (or the same column), and the one of the adjacent blocks is a block of the current frame or a block of a previous frame. The motion vector determination circuit is coupled to the candidate set generation circuit to receive the motion vector candidate set. The motion vector determination circuit determines the motion vector of the current block of the current frame according to the motion vector candidate set.

The false contour detection circuit is configured to detect a flat pixel distribution of an image input signal and correspondingly output a false contour coefficient. The false contour reduction circuit is coupled to the false contour detection circuit to receive the false contour coefficient, and is configured to perform false contour reduction on the image input signal according to the false contour coefficient, so as to correspondingly output an image output signal.

An image processing apparatus and method thereof are provided. The image processing apparatus includes a false contour detection circuit and a false contour reduction circuit. The false contour detection circuit includes detection modules and a determination module. The detection modules respectively detect different features of the same image input signal and correspondingly output feature coefficients. The determination module is coupled to the detection modules and determines a false contour coefficient according to the feature coefficients. The false contour reduction circuit is coupled to the determination module of the false contour detection circuit to receive the false contour coefficient and perform false contour reduction on the image input signal according to the false contour coefficient, so as to output a corresponding image output signal.
