    Abstract: A mechanical hoistway access control device for an elevator landing door includes a first blocking member mounted on a position on a landing door frame above a landing door, and a second blocking member mounted on a position on a car door frame above a car door. The first blocking member is pivotably attached between an upright position and a first horizontal position extending in the door opening direction about a horizontal shaft. The second blocking member is pivotably attached between an upright position and a second horizontal position about a horizontal shaft, the second horizontal position being where the second blocking member protrudes out to the landing door side to block movement of the first blocking member.

    Abstract: A hoistway inspection device comprises a guiding device which extends along the hoistway and a camera unit for obtaining image data of the inside of the hoistway. The camera unit is slidably attached to the guiding device. The hoistway inspection device further comprises a mounting unit which supports the camera unit near the ceiling of the hoistway and releases the camera unit in response to a release signal to allow the camera unit to freely fall along the guiding device.

    Abstract: A mechanical hoistway access control device for an elevator landing door includes a first and a second base plates mounted on the hoistway side of a landing door panel and arranged in parallel with one another, a slider slidably arranged between the first and second base plates and configured to move in conjunction with a car door and configured to protrude out from a door closing side end of the landing door by a first elastic member to take an extended position when the landing door is opened with no elevator car at the landing, and a latch attached to the landing door and configured to engage with the slider to keep the slider in the extended position once the slider protrudes out from the door closing side end of the landing door.

    Abstract: An emergency operation controller for an elevator is connected to other emergency operation controllers of their respective elevators through network, and each controller constitutes a node in the network. The controller generates and transmits an emergency condition detection message to other controllers in the network which constitute adjacent nodes to the controller when the controller detects an emergency condition, and receives an emergency condition detection message from other controllers which constitute adjacent nodes to the controller in the network when other controllers detect an emergency condition. The emergency condition detection message includes a propagation count. The propagation count is configured to be decremented by one, each time one controller transmits the emergency condition detection message to other controllers which constitute next adjacent nodes. The emergency condition detection message is continuously transmitted until the propagation count reaches to zero.
