摘要: A monitoring system for a passenger conveyor is provided. The passenger conveyor includes a motor for driving the passenger conveyor and an inverter for supplying current to the motor. The monitoring system includes a current sensor for detecting the current supplied to the motor; a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the motor; a data collecting device for receiving detected data from the current sensor and the temperature sensor; and a controller connected to the data collecting device. The controller is configured to calculate an idle operation motor torque during an idle operation of the passenger conveyor based on current and temperature detected during the idle operation; and determine that a fault exists in the passenger conveyor when a difference between the idle operation motor torque and a reference motor torque exceeds a predetermined threshold.

摘要: A temperature monitoring system for a passenger transport apparatus includes a temperature detection apparatus; and a control apparatus. When the temperature of at least one of a plurality of components is lower than a working temperature range, the control apparatus sends out a notification message and/or enables a heating apparatus to heat the component; when the temperature of at least one of the plurality of components reaches an early warning temperature range, the control apparatus sends out a notification message and/or enables a heat dissipation apparatus to dissipate heat for the component; and when the temperature of at least one of the plurality of components continues to rise and exceeds the working temperature range, the control apparatus sends out a notification message and/or enables the passenger transport apparatus to brake. The present invention is able to monitor a component running condition and predict a component service life.

摘要: A safety system for a moving walkway having a continuous loop of steps driven by a drive system and missing step detector adapted to detect a missing step from the loop of steps. The safety system comprises: an interrupt unit adapted to control the drive system to disable automatic movement of the loop of steps upon detection of a predetermined event and adapted to subsequently control the drive system to enable automatic movement of the loop of steps only after a safety procedure has been completed without a missing step being detected by the missing step detector. The safety procedure comprises causing a step to traverse an entire loop under manual control of the drive system.

摘要: A braking method for a passenger transportation system, which system is embodied as an elevator, escalator, or moving walk, is initiated upon the occurrence of a technical problem in the passenger transportation system. An activation signal activates a service brake of the passenger transportation system and an emergency stop is initiated. In addition to the activation of the service brake, the activation signal is immediately fed to a brake control of the passenger transportation system, so that, upon the occurrence of the activation signal, the brake control switches a drive machine of the passenger transportation system into a motor-brake operating mode. The drive machine is only switched by the brake control into a braking-torque-free state when a braking effect of the service brake on moving components of the passenger transportation system is detected and transmitted to the brake control.

摘要: A device and method for detecting a misaligned or missing step of a conveyor are disclosed. The missing step detector includes various sensors for detecting the drive speed of the conveyor and for detecting the presence of pallets or steps. The sensor output signals are correlated to determine fixed values characteristic of the specific conveyor in question. Using the fixed values as reference, the missing step detector is able to effectively monitor the conveyor for misaligned or missing steps independent of conveyor speed and time.
