The curtain airbag is housed in an upper portion of a side surface inside a vehicle cabin and deployed along the side surface. The curtain airbag includes: a main chamber having a protection area for the occupant, and receiving an inflation gas and being inflated along a side window of a vehicle; a first chamber that overlaps an upper edge of the side window of the vehicle, the first chamber extends by being deployed toward an upper side of the main chamber along the upper portion of the side surface inside the vehicle cabin. The main chamber includes a second chamber positioned in a below portion of the first chamber to overlap the vehicle beltline upon deployment.

    摘要: A curtain airbag device that can be applied to a small-width pillar. The curtain airbag device is accommodated in a region extending from at least an A-pillar to an upper portion of a window frame, and includes an airbag that is deployed in a curtain form near a side window of a vehicle interior in order to protect an occupant; and a gas generator that supplies inflation gas to the airbag. The accommodated airbag is formed in a rod shape by being folded in a roll form. When the airbag is accommodated, the airbag is partially compressed toward the center of the airbag at a narrow portion where an installation area of the A-pillar is narrow, in order to partially decrease a diameter of the airbag.

The applicator allows a visual check on whether the application liquid is full or less when the applicator is unused or when the application liquid is decreased after use, from the change of the reflectance of light in indicator. The applicator permits easy confirmation of the liquid quantity and can easily avoid liquid blobbing.

    摘要: A vehicle curtain airbag device capable of improving an occupant ejection preventing performance at an end of a vehicle in the longitudinal direction and providing an excellent impact absorbing function when receiving an occupant in a vehicle interior. A front strap is provided between a seam portion that divides a front chamber positioned at an end of a vehicle longitudinal direction from an adjacent main chamber, and a front pillar positioned at the end of the vehicle longitudinal direction so as to connect the seam portion to the front pillar, on an outer surface of the front chamber. A height position of a first connecting portion (P) between the front pillar and the front strap is set to be higher than a height position of a second connecting portion (Q) between the seam portion and the front strap. The front strap is set to be shorter than a length between the first connecting portion and a position to which the second connecting portion tries to move according to the inflation and deployment if the front strap is not present, and is stretched substantially linearly between the first and second connecting portions by the inflated and deployed front chamber.
