Abstract: An aerosol generating substrate element is circumscribed by exactly two paper layers that do not extend beyond an aerosol generating substrate. The aerosol generating substrate includes from about 10% to about 30% glycerine by weight. The first paper wrapper and the second paper wrapper have a combined thickness in a range from about 60 micrometres to about 200 micrometres. The first paper wrapper does not overlap itself and a second paper wrapper does not overlap itself.

A set of adapter elements, a kit, and a method are also provided.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a bobbin comprising a plurality of wounds of a laminated sheet, the method comprising the steps of: •providing a continuous sheet of alkaloids containing material having a free surface; •providing a continuous sheet of a first protective material having a free surface; •adhering the free surface of the continuous sheet of the first protective material to the free surface of the continuous sheet of alkaloids containing material to form a continuous laminated sheet comprising at least one layer of alkaloids containing material and at least one layer of a first protective material, wherein said at least one layer of alkaloids containing material and said at least one layer of a first protective material define an adhesion surface between them; •feeding said laminated sheet to a rotatable center core; •rotating the center core so as to wind said continuous laminated sheet around it in such a way to form said bobbin comprising a plurality of wounds of a continuous laminated sheet comprising at least one layer of alkaloids containing material and at least one layer of a first protective material.

Abstract: The forming apparatus comprises a feed path for continuously feeding a continuous tow material along a transport direction, a forming device connected to a downstream end of the feed path and adapted to form the continuous tow material into a continuous tubular rod. The forming device comprises a tubular element adapted to allow the continuous tow material to pass through the tubular element to form the continuous tubular rod and a steam generator adapted to generate overheated steam. The forming device further comprises several fluid conduits to provide overheated steam from the steam generator to several injection sites arranged along a length of the tubular element, wherein at least one fluid conduit of the several fluid conduits comprises a temperature control unit including a temperature sensor and a temperature influencer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing inductively heatable aerosol-forming rods (100). The method comprises supplying a first substrate web (31) and a second substrate web (32) separately to a continuous multiple-stage rod-forming process which comprises at least a first and a subsequent second stage. The method further comprises supplying a continuous susceptor profile (20) to the rod-forming process such that the susceptor profile passes through at least the second stage. Furthermore, the method comprises passing the first and second substrate web separately through the first stage. Thereby, the first and the second substrate web are separately pre-gathered transversely with regard to a respective transport direction of each of the substrate web through the first stage. The method further comprises passing the susceptor profile and the pre-gathered substrate webs through the second stage. Thereby, the separately pre-gathered substrate webs are jointly gathered into a rod shape around the susceptor profile. The invention further relates to a multi-stage rod-forming device (10) comprising at least a first stage (11) and a second stage (12) downstream of the first stage. The first stage is configured for separately pre-gathering a first and a second substrate web (31, 32) respectively as each of them passes through the first stage. The second stage is configured for jointly gathering the pre-gathered substrate webs into a rod shape around a susceptor profile (20) as the susceptor profile and the pre-gathered substrate webs pass through the second stage.
