    Abstract: A positive electrode with a positive electrode mixture layer provided on a surface of a positive electrode current collector, which includes a first layer contacting the positive electrode current collector and a second layer contacting the first layer. The first layer includes first active material particles with a particle diameter L. The second layer includes active material particles with a particle diameter R. Third positive electrode active material particles with a particle diameter r are included at least at an interface between the first and the second layers, wherein R>L>r. The first active material particles include a lithium transition metal composite oxide with a ratio of Co in metal element atoms other than Li of 2 atom % or more. The second and third active material particles including a different lithium transition metal composite oxide than the first active material particles.

    Abstract: Provided are: a high-density positive electrode capable of suppressing battery resistance; and a secondary battery using said positive electrode. A positive electrode for a secondary battery according to one aspect of the present disclosure has a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode mixture layer provided on the surface of the positive electrode current collector, wherein: the positive electrode mixture layer includes n types of positive electrode active materials (n is an integer of 2 or more) and a low-hardness compound having a lower hardness than any of the n types of positive electrode active materials; and the content of the low-hardness component in the positive electrode mixture layer is more than 0.05 parts by mass and less than 1.00 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the positive electrode active material.

    Abstract: A cylindrical secondary battery comprises an external can that has a cylindrical tube part and an electrode body that is provided inside the tube part. The electrode body is obtained by winding a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator therebetween. In the external can, the ratio of the average value of the outer diameter of the middle of the tube part in the axial direction of the external can to the average value of the outer diameter of the bottom-side end of the tube part is 100.10-100.50%, and the standard deviation of the outer diameter of the middle of the tube part is 0.020-0.050 mm.

    Abstract: Provided is a secondary battery comprising a cathode comprising a cathode current collector and a cathode mixture layer containing and a cathode active material, an anode comprising an anode current collector and coating layer, and a non-aqueous electrolyte containing a non-aqueous solvent and a lithium salt which has been dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent. A surface of the anode current collector is coated with the coating layer. The coating layer contains an alkaline earth metal fluoride. During charge, a lithium metal is deposited on the anode. During discharge, the lithium metal is dissolved in the non-aqueous electrolyte.
