Abstract: A food processing apparatus includes a reaction tank having a first space for storing a liquid reactant to be used for a food; a stirrer including a first stirring body that stirs the reactant in the reaction tank by rotating; catalytic reactors, the catalytic reactors each including a reaction tube and a light source disposed in the reaction tube, the reaction tube having an outer surface provided with a photocatalyst, the reaction tube allowing light emitted from the light source to pass therethrough; and a temperature adjuster that adjusts the temperature of the reactant in the reaction tank. The catalytic reactors are disposed around a first rotary shaft of the first stirring body to be spaced from each other. The temperature adjuster surrounds the catalytic reactors.

Abstract: Provided is a fabrication method of a photocatalytic material in which a single layer of a carbon-based participate is formed on a surface of each of titanium dioxide particle. The method includes (a) loading titanium dioxide particles into an electric furnace comprising a mechanism for rotating a core tube; (b) heating an inside of the core tube of the electric furnace into which the titanium dioxide particles have been loaded to a temperature of not less than 400° C. and not more than 800° C., while an inert gas is introduced into the inside of the core tube; (c) supplying a hydrocarbon gas to the inside of the core tube in addition to the inert gas; and (d) performing a thermal CVD on each of the titanium dioxide particles in a fluidized state inside the core tube, while the core tube is rotated, to form a single layer of a carbon-based precipitate containing graphene on a surface of each of the titanium dioxide particles. A photocatalyst material is provided.

Abstract: A method for controlling a liquid treatment apparatus of the present disclosure includes: (i) providing the liquid treatment apparatus; (ii) treating a polluted liquid in a photocatalytic reaction tank by a photocatalytic reaction to produce a treated liquid; (iii) introducing a liquid mixture into a separation tank from the photocatalytic reaction tank through a feed passage by a circulation pump; (iv) introducing a filtrate to an outside of the separation tank through an extraction passage while filtering the liquid mixture introduced into the separation tank by a filtration membrane, and feeding the liquid mixture to the photocatalytic reaction tank through an overflow passage; and (v) making a flow rate of the liquid mixture measured by a liquid mixture flow meter higher than a flow rate of the filtrate measured by a filtrate flow meter by controlling the circulation pump by a controller.

Abstract: A water treatment method includes: calculating a total amount of ions contained in a total amount of an aqueous solution introduced into a first tank; when the calculated total amount of ions is greater than a first threshold value, introducing part of slurry in the first tank into a second tank; introducing, with an introducing unit, one of a marker molecule and a stain into the second tank; irradiating, from a second light source, the second tank with visible light; detecting, with a detector, first intensity of the visible light having transmitted through the second tank; and outputting, when the activity of photocatalytic particles calculated based on the first intensity is equal to or smaller than a second threshold value, information prompting replacement of the photocatalytic particles, an instruction of recovering the activity of the photocatalytic particles, or information indicative of deterioration of the photocatalytic particles.
